Umm I look like I'm 15?!?!!!
Hi everyone. I am 18, almost 19. I am the youngest girl at my club and customers apparently can tell! On numerous occassions, I have not gotten lap dances from customers who seemed into me when we were talking. Often times it is because they have a teenage daughter(s) and they are creeped out by the fact that I look their daughter's age. Not only do I look young, but apparently I look younger than my actual age! I have had people ask me if I had a fake i.d. to work in the club because I look like I'm 15!! I know alot of women wish to look younger, but I really want to look older and more mature, not like I am just starting high school! It pisses me off when customers tell me I look so young. I would really appreciate any ideas on what I could do to look older. Please help a desperate girl!

There is some good advice in this thread. However, embracing what makes you unique will ultimately work out better for you. If you really look super young, play it up. Be the "wild party girl that couldn't WAIT till her 18th birthday to start stripping and getting naked in front of ALLLL those people. Teeheehee."
While dancing gives you the chance to be a character, sometimes it just rings false.

Definitely see a professional makeup artist. I bet that will do so much for you.

Re: Umm I look like I'm 15?!?!!!
Darker eye makeup and darker hair. sort o fmessy sexy. When I picture young girls they always have that dewy look to their eyes. I know magazines say to look younger add some white or silver shimmer to the inner corner of your eyes, which is why I say dark eye makeup. Also younger people tend to have smoother more moisturized hair. Which is why I say rough it up. And since a lot of children start out blonde, I associate youth with abby blonde hair.
Also, try contouring your cheeks. When I had my wisdom teeth removed and my face was still a bit swollen I literally looked like a child. Older adults , and even for myself when I look back at me at 18 (23 now), have more defined hollows of the cheekbones. Suck in, put on contour, reg bluch on apples, some highlight at very tops of cheekbones. Hell I'd do thi sany way just becasue it looks pretty.
Now, if I could only find a way to come off as my age- People tend to think I'm in my late 20's after they hear me speak. Sucks.

Re: Umm I look like I'm 15?!?!!!
I feel for ya, hon! I'm 31 and jerks still try and tell me I'm not old enough to work there. A combination of older looking makeup and 'embracing the cute' helps a lot. So does shrugging instead of reacting when they say dumb things. Don't get upset, hustle. Might not hurt to add a few years if they seem the be reacting to your perceived age. 20 sounds a lot older than 18.

Re: Umm I look like I'm 15?!?!!!
Here's a funny story about how I started dancing. I started when I was 18 and I have always looked young for my age. I didn't like it and quit. The owner of the club called me and said, " I really think you should come back. You're one of the only entertainers I have met that really could pass for 15. There's a lot of sick fucks out there who pay a lot of money for that shit."
He was right, they do. And I obviously went back. and banked. I say play it up, don't try to fight it, or you might end up looking like a little kid trying to play dress up. hey I'm 25 I would love to look 18 again.

Re: Umm I look like I'm 15?!?!!!
there are so many customers that are attracted to the fresh young look. They know its up to the club to hire the 18 and over girls so the custies are not that sick they just like the "fresh look" I know at my club I have alot of customers that ask me for those types. Alot of times they turn down the recently turned 18 year olds because they have too much makeup on and go for the 25 year old because they look younger without all that paint on. For example, at one point one of these guys called the club asking for 18 year olds and I said I had a couple. He came down and got a vip show from a 29 year old.

Re: Umm I look like I'm 15?!?!!!
I have the same problem. I look pretty young, I just turned 19. Guys get creeped out or don't take me seriously when I tell them how young I am. You can do two things; either play it up, or play it down. Playing it up should depend on the kind of customers you're trying to get. This usually doesn't work on the rich business men and the classy older guys.... but it does work on younger guys occasionally, and the old gross perverts love it. I dont like to do this.. because I prefer the older gentlemen who will pay you to sit and talk.
To play it down- def. see a professional makeup artist-- go to the MAC counter and have them show you how to do a really good smokey eye, don't forget fake eyelashes, face contouring, all that. What you wear attracts the kind of customers you get. Since I started wearing gowns-only (sometimes I wear thigh highs and a lingerie set) I've been making so much more because it attracts a different kind of customer- who usually has more money. I think that wearing a gown with nice sparkly rhinestone jewelry is the classic sophisticated stripper look.....and it can definitely make you look older.

Re: Umm I look like I'm 15?!?!!!
Another thing you could do is keep up on current events and other "adult" topics so that you don't seem like a teenybopper. Conversation is a dead giveaway to age a lot of the time. I'm not saying you sit and talk about the state of the economy, but it wouldn't hurt to brush up on some pertinent topics in the news.

Re: Umm I look like I'm 15?!?!!!
when I was 18, they thought I was 16, and it gave me a complex, so I used to lie even tho I didn't need too and say I was 20 ::) ...nearly 10 years later I just laugh thank YOU for thinking I am younger than I really am;D

Here's a question... how do you bring up serious stuff like news when you're trying to keep it relaxedand fun enough to have him buy a dance? I usually try to stay away from topics like that unless I'm with a regular or something.

I don't know. Not all news stories are serious. I guess for me it just comes up during regular conversation because that's the type of stuff I chat or joke about. It's not for everyone though, so maybe it wasn't the best advice to give to a newb.
Most of my conversations happen in the couch dance room anyway. I don't spend much time at tables.

Re: Umm I look like I'm 15?!?!!!
IMO - we have a couple girls who look really really young and have the MUA give them heavy makeup and do up their hair and to me they look like little girls playing dress up. It never looks quite right.... I say work with your young look, play it up...

That's a great idea; I'm going to swipe it too. ;) Do you have to make an appointment, or can you just walk into a MAC store and ask them to show you how to do a certain eye look? I buy the products anyway; might as well get someone to show me how to use them right, lol.

Re: Umm I look like I'm 15?!?!!!
MAC - free makeover if you buy 3 products. Appointments are best if its a weekend night or something.... Ive had the girls do amazing work but have had crappy makeup a couple times..

Re: Umm I look like I'm 15?!?!!!
I used to look 15 before I had a baby. I guess motherhood ages you. I'd play it up. School girl outfit, pig tails, or I'd do a bad girl look. You may look young but to look young and really naughty, that's a turn on for the pedophiles out there!! Not saying anything good about pedophiles but let's face it they come into strip clubs looking for the youngest looking girls. But unfortunately when you look young, those are the kind of guys to play up to so that you can just take all their money.

I read this after I posted! Totally right on. Play it up. I was thinking the same thing about looking like a little girl playing dress up. Kind of Jon Benet Ramsey-ish (RIP).

Re: Umm I look like I'm 15?!?!!!
What if you go half and half. When I was getting hired the manager thought I had a fake ID, or at least that what he said, and looked at me all skeptical. I'm 18, and he said I looked 15...I've never heard that in my whole life! I've always looked older.
Then I went on the floor and was asking people to guess my age out of curiosity and most guessed 22 and were shocked when I told them I was only 18 then some just keep saying "I dont know, you look really really young, too young to be here".
What's up with that? I'm with the OP, cause it pisses me off too. FTR: I have black hair, wear it straight but somewhat messy, dark eyes/fake lashes. I'm thin but have ass/hips and moderate sized boobs...Should I just chalk the guys who said I'm too young up as a loss and not think about it? Or change my demeanor into super sexy chick? It's confusing!

Re: Umm I look like I'm 15?!?!!!
I'm 22 and I always get 18! Guys tell me the I look young all the time and it really pisses me off! It's really bad in the black clubs! The white guys are okay with it, but in a more urban enviroment they seem to like older women! I'm trying out new hair dos to try and look my oldest!

Re: Umm I look like I'm 15?!?!!!
Wow sounds like me a year ago, you know what I did? I worked it;D
Alot of men like the "young, innocent, unused" look. Just use it to your advantage, my young nature was a part of my charm, however the way I carried myself, and spoke in convos with custys I seemed wiser beyond my years.
Embrace it babe, trust me alot of women envy it.

Re: Umm I look like I'm 15?!?!!!
people tend to look older (in a good way) when they dye their hair darker. i know i do!

Thanks for clarification! I recently tried switching my hustle from really low-key talking to hyped up sexiness and I think the talking makes more money, so I'm trying to compromise the two.
Sorry for threadjacking btw... :-[

Re: Umm I look like I'm 15?!?!!!
Use it to your advantage. Work it. One of the best things you can have is something that sets you apart from all of the other girls on any given shift.

Re: Umm I look like I'm 15?!?!!!
A few days ago a guy who obviously liked me said he couldn't get a dance because I was too close to his daughter's age (she's 22, I'm 25). So I told him I was really 31. While I danced for him he said stuff like, "Wow, you're 31? Your tits look amazing." I told him, "Well, no one believes me when I tell them I'm 31, so I say I'm 25." A little fibbing got us both what we wanted.
