Johnny Depp, Tim Burton, and it's a musical... it's a trifecta if you ask me!
:hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:
Tim Burton, Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Sacha Baron Cohen, Classic story, beautiful visuals, ooh I'm shaking with excitement.
And can't wait for Johnny Depp's 'Shantaram', I was so excited when I heard he won the rights.
*raises hand*
it's got alan rickman, too!
I've been waiting for it when I found out that he's gonna be Sweeney Todd (since Pirates of the Carribean 3). I love me some Johnny Depp ;D
Ava loves her someTim Burton!
Can't wait!
Mmmmmmmmm...Johnny Depp! I can't wait to see it (and not just because of Johnny Depp).
Okay, I finally went to see it.
Very dissapointed>:( There were parts that seem to drag on forever. By the end, I found myself totally unintrested in the characters.
Moral of the story: Wait for DVD.
Oh no... that's too bad. I was thinking about hitting it next weekend. I'll be prepared with lowered expectations.
Tim Burton seems a little stuck in a rut with the look of his movies.
I saw it today and really liked it. I generally hate Helena BC and I think she drags his movies down, but eh, she wasn't so bad in this. There's singing, so parts are going to take longer than a non-singing movie. I'd have liked less HBC and more Alan Rickman, but I'd still recommend it.
It's a Stephen Sondheim musical first and foremost (even before it's a Tim Burton movie), so I imagine about 50% of the people who see it will hate it.
Sondheim can be hard to take if you're not a hardcore Broadway fanatic.
