Anyone ever worked in Mass?
Hi, I'm looking into becoming a dancer, and i have been having a bit of a hard time trying to figure out which clubs in massachusettes might be good to work at. If anyone used to work in Mass and has some feedback, I'd appreciate it, I don't want to end up working in a really shady place.

Re: Anyone ever worked in Mass?
I'm not a dancer but I've been a customer in mass clubs for about 25 years and most of my friends are dancers...
What goes on in Mass clubs and what you need to be comfortable with varies quite a bit depending on what part of the state you are working in.
Questions: Where are you? How far are you willing to drive to work? Are you looking to work days or nights? How do you feel about contact?

Re: Anyone ever worked in Mass?
When I lived in MA I worked at K2U in RI. I hear the best clubs to work at in MA would be centerfolds 2000 in Oxford and Mario's in Webster. Sorry- that's all I can offer.

Re: Anyone ever worked in Mass?
I am also a customer who has many friends who dance and I live in MA but I would be just probably repeating what Yoda tells you. There are several threads about this though. I think overall there are some girls at each club that do well. I think as Yoda pointed out figure out what your comfortable with and maybe spend less time trying to find the pot of gold club because I think each dancer seems to have different sucesses at the same club. I would also recommend going to a club as a customer to get a feel.
Good luck!

Re: Anyone ever worked in Mass?
thanks for the advice, i live in southern NH actually and I'm working on getting a car. Until i get a car i really can't get to any clubs to look around, which is why i was asking here. I figured if i narrowed it down itd make looking a shorter process. I'm willing to drive an hour or so to get to work. I've heard good things about centerfolds 2000 from recent searches, not heard much about Mario's. My friend is moving in in a few months and going to be working days and able to watch my son at night, so i'm looking to work nights, but days could be arranged if that ended up being better. As far as contact, what do you mean? like am i comfortable doing lap/personal dances vs just stage and cage? Or do you mean as far as customers having contact with me? special favors are out, i don't mind working with people who do, its their choice completely, but not something i am personally comfortable with.
I know some clubs are pickier then others about their dancers as far as their looks, I'm working on the baby weight from having my son, and when i do i don't think that'll be too much of an issue. (not trying to sound vain, its just I've never had much of a problem there and i'm a decent make-up artist so i can hide flaws.)
Thanks for the advice and I'll keep looking around. If anyone has any more feedback let me know :)

Re: Anyone ever worked in Mass?
I live in Mass but have always worked in RI at K2U like Nina77 (waves at Nina).
I've had a few friends who worked at both Mario's in Webster and Centerfold's 2000 in Oxford and they liked them both.
Fancygirl and Sindi... I am almost 100% positive Krystal's is gone. She was in Grafton for forever, moved out to Shrewsbury and then just disappeared. :(

Re: Anyone ever worked in Mass?
By "contact" I meant strictly touching, either one-sided or mutual, between you and the customer during a private dance. Mass. is basically a "no-contact" state but many clubs are bending those rules a bit and those are the ones where the money is.
Mario's and the Foxy Lady in Brockton are two of the better clubs in Mass right now for my money and dancers that I know seem to agree. Both do allow some contact and if you are not comfortable with that you won't make any money. Centerfolds 2000 is also popular and, from what I have been told, lower in contact. Mardi Gras in Springfield is also legendary for being a very good money club. It may be a bit if a drive for you from where you are however.

Re: Anyone ever worked in Mass?
thanks for the advice. By that definatition of contact, i'm comfortable with a fair amount of it, I just don't want to cross the line to favors. I'll check out the clubs you mentioned when i get a chance. I'm not in too much of a rush yet, i can't start til June when my friend graduates from college. So i have time to see how i look and where I'd be able to get a job and what looks like a good fit for my first club dancing at.

Re: Anyone ever worked in Mass?
I also heard that money was pretty good at the Madi Gras. And they have pretty cheap rooms for dancers to rent for the night. I've thought about checking it out but it's so far.

I've heard some not so good things about those rooms over the years. A friend of mine who used to dance there a while back always rented her own hotel room or got another dancer to split it with her...

Re: Anyone ever worked in Mass?
I worked at the Glass Slipper in Boston last year. It sucked. Details are in the review section, if you want to know more. The local dancers said the clubs in Rhode Island were much better.

The Slipper and Centerfolds are both lame compared to RI clubs as far as money goes but the main difference is that RI clubs are full two way contact where those two Boston clubs are no contact. A dancer can do well in Providence but you are gonna get groped and prodded pretty much all shift.

Yoda speaks the truth about the level of contact in RI clubs. And it just seems to keep increasing, both what is offered and what is expected.

Re: Anyone ever worked in Mass?
^ You're going to scare them away, dude. Given what I saw last at Fantasies and Cadillac Lounge last trip (frightening displays of what passes for dancers), we need all the hot new girls we can get.

Last week I stopped by the king's inn and the foxy lady south coast for the first time in 7 months, the dancers were scary looking at both places. I don't think I saw a dancer at the foxy lady south coast that weighed less then 150lbs.

Re: Anyone ever worked in Mass?
In my opinion from dancing all over the country and having dancers friends in those places to this day I really think that the more you guys demand for your dollar the lesser quality of girls you are going to get . You can grope ugly or enjoy beautiful its your choice , think about it next time . The customers in the North east seem to be very loyal to their club of choice and sometimes it seems like they maybe coloring the opinions towards other clubs .
I think since there is a variety of clubs in Mass and RI that you should to narrow them down based on what their rules are like . For example , some of them are gown clubs ( all the Foxy ladys , they use to make you wear gloves) and some of them have NO dress codes at all and even more still are somewhere in between . Some clubs have high tips outs and the girls make most of there money bouncing from guy to guy in a high hustle format or selling champagne while some other clubs like say Alexs in Stoughton you can get some fairly decent regulars and be a top earner and have lower tip outs . I would try to think more about those aspects than which ones other people like because the clubs really are so different there . }:D

I agree, Mass rules vary so much, it's really down to what you feel comfortable with. I know girls who bank in all of the clubs being mentioned here but it's all down to how you like to work.
