Re: New Year's Resolutions
I'm pretty good with saving, diet and exercise which I guess are the biggies....so the same one I try every year. Stay out of the dressing room. Maybe this time I can do it!
Re: New Year's Resolutions
Good thread!
I have so many things I "need" to do, I don't know what to address. Practically speaking, I need to start treating this like a job OR find a real job. But I also really want to have my story edited and publish-worthy next year as well. And I want to stay in shape (if I'm dancing then that'll probably take care of itself). So I guess I can just sum it up in....I resolve to GET TO WORK.
Re: New Year's Resolutions
My biggest resolution is to work on my motivation. I've been slacking on everything these last few months, big time.
My second is to get into better shape. I realllllly need to work on dieting and exercising more.
Re: New Year's Resolutions
Kick my ass into shape. I'm not big by any means...but I've gone kinda soft. I miss being nice and toned.
Re: New Year's Resolutions
I think I speak for every woman in America when I say, LOSE WEIGHT/GET IN SHAPE!
Also, I want to save money. Lots of it.
ETA:
Social life. That's what I'm missing, and I'm gonna work on that.
Re: New Year's Resolutions
My new years resolution is to apply to Grad School. I'm such a lazy bum!
Re: New Year's Resolutions
- Continue my nutrition/health regimen and tone, tone, tone!
- Work, work, work, pay off all debts... and save, save, save!
- Take a couple of well-deserved vacations.
Re: New Year's Resolutions
Personally I don't make New Years Resolutions.
Since any resolution worth making is worth making the moment you think of it.
Re: New Year's Resolutions
1) Start doing hair
2) Pay down debt
3) Start saving (3 months worth of bills in acct)
4) Take a vacation out of the country with family
5) RELAX. Stop stressing and enjoy life a little!
Re: New Year's Resolutions
To make myself happy, concentrate on myself, travel more, and make some dough.

Re: New Year's Resolutions
1) Save up for 85% of my surgery.
2) Feel better
3) Get down to 125lbs
4) Buy a shit load of workout clothes to help me get there
5) Kick ass in calculus and the other 2 classes
6) Go on a vacation for spring break
7) Put 5K aside for investments
Re: New Year's Resolutions
I have a lot of very important goals for 2008
1. Get healthy ( physcially, mentally, emotionally)
2. Always strive to do my best in school.
3. Get a job
4. Pay debt
5. Start a savings plan
6. Learn how to cope with stress better
7. Exercise more willpower in every part of my life
8. Order out only 1 time per week, cook dinner 6 nights a week
9. Keep my house clean
Re: New Year's Resolutions
I make weekly resolutions.
My resolution before the end of this year is to use my freakin vacation time finally. I forgot all about it.
Re: New Year's Resolutions
every year, i resolve to lose weight and get really skinny.
every year, it doesn't happen.
perhaps i should come up with something else this year, rather than continue with this eternal disappointment.
Re: New Year's Resolutions
I don't have any resolutions per say as I don't believe in them.
Instead I have plans:
I plan to finally go give Santa Fe Gold in Townsville a go. I also plan to give Showbar140 in Mackay a go. I plan to do Skimpy work in Kalgoorlie once (and only once) this year. I plan to stay at Cheerleaders because as much as I bitch and moan about the place, I need a home base so as I can start to develop regulars. I plan to try to do more Burlesque esp. acquire and learn how to dance with feathers/fans.
These are just some of them. I feel they are all realistic.
Re: New Year's Resolutions
1. Quit smoking for realz
2. Work out!
3. Hustle my ass off
These are just the ones off the top of my head

Maybe to learn to love your body the way it is. And to stand in the mirror each day and point out one thing on your body that you love. Something different everyday.
Re: New Year's Resolutions
Mine have been mentioned many times already-be really good about eating healthy and keeping up with my workouts, and start saving money! ;D

YES! I want to start cooking more, too. I know how to cook, I'm just too lazy. :D
Re: New Year's Resolutions
My main resoution for the new year is to focus on work, quit with the excuses, and save, save, save! I need to stop renting this year and my lease is up in September, so I'll need to have a pretty large downpayment by then.
In order to get my downpayment I'll need to not use my credit card, as I've finally paid it off and I'm going to stay debt free. Also, stay strong and healthy physically and mentally, constantly improving and making sure I'm on track.
Re: New Year's Resolutions
Stop eating Mcdonalds. - i tried last year didnt work. Its so tasty
Gym - but i say this every year
Pay off my credit card. I owe about 2000 on it not alot but its getting up there
Re: New Year's Resolutions
Has anyone seen the website 43things.com? I came across it yesterday and find it a neat way to organize your goals and get motivation from others, although the site could be more user friendly. Anyhoo.. my main goals are
to quit smoking
lose weight/get in shape
to go on at least 3 vacations in 2008 (not work related- real vacations)
