From my experience strippers are very loathe to get offers or let alone follow up on offers for "additional services", yet as we all know this is the major part of service offered by escorts.
My question is how does this effect your view on escorts?

As long as escorts aren't doing their business out of my club, I could give a damn what someone else's private business is.
Nothing against escorts. Big probem with escorts using the club to recruit clients or to do their business IN the club.
I have nothing against them working in places where prostitution is legal. But it ain't legal here in CA, so stop providing illegal services that take money away from my legal services! >:(
I don't think they take money away from me. We service different sectors of the sex work economy. I provide clothing relocation and zipper polishing services and they provide body fluid removal and muscle tension relief.
Susan, you crack me up!!
I have no problem with Escorts. But i do have a problem if they mix the escorting business in with the exotic dancing business. And so long as they do it legally its cool.
What Susan said (but not quite as witty ;))
Totally different services. So go for it, provide away, just pretty please, don't hustle in the clubs.
Several of my friends are escorting right now, and it's a very different, but strangely similar field. I don't view them any differently than if they were colonic nurses or shoe sales women. I say, if you are happy with your job, and you feel okay about it, go for it.
pssst to a few of you: Escorting is technically illegal in 49/50 states... not that it matters in my book, though.
Personally, I'm glad to hear that the entertainers you encounter are offended when you ask them for sex. That means they understand their job.
I don't have any problem at all with women who get paid to have sex. It's not the occupation for me, but I can live with other people doing that. But not in the club. Not where it's going to fuck up my money and possibly cause lots of legal tangles.
What everybody else said.
Escorts don't bother me. Strippers that sell sex in or through the club and make it harder for anybody that doesn't make me mad though.
Edit****I meant DOES make me made.
48/50 states.....Rhode Island has "wiggle room" laws which do not forbid consensual adult sex.
as long as it's not in my club, i don't care.
True. And when i became an escort i was thrown out of a club due to sitting on a customers lap, and a dancer or a couple of them new i was an escort at the time. I look back and sitting on his lap and chatting was not good. I was a dancer before an escort, guess i felt comfortable. But it was wrong to get that close to him i now know.
Got thrown out on my ass...Stupid me.
^^
god sitting on laps was practically expected where I was working before.
I mostly like anyone who thinks outside of the box and does well in this world without doing something they hate.
Prostitution is legal in melbourne and most place throughout australia. I think it's a needed service - oldest profession in the world isn't it?
As the other girls said there needs to be a clear distinction between exotic dancing and prostitution so that those who are comfortable only dancing can still do so and earn money without having to cross their own limits.
In Melbourne the fact that prostitution is legal and quite cheap makes being an exotic dancer very good because all of the city clubs are no-touching clubs and i am very comfortable with that.
Yep, it is the oldest profession.
I'm amazed that it makes dancing easier. That just blew my mind. I always worried that if prostitution became legal there would be no need for dancers since most guys want to solicit me at the club... I'd worry that dancing would go extinct.
^^ Its legal 20 minutes from my work and altho some guys try to get us to be naughty most dont. The guys' reasons for wanting dancers are
1) were prettier/more put together
2) were cheaper .... rude but the brothels take 50%
3) were not "professionals"
^^
nope IMO it keeps the clubs cleaner.
a lot of guys funnily enough come FROM the brothel around the corner from my work then into my work for lap dances?? i would have thought that the other way around would make more sense.
Plus not all men want sex and extras. Esp here in melbourne many men have a stigma against going to a brothel but see nothing wrong with going to a strip club. The worst EXTRA I have ever witnessed (which will prob make some of you laugh) is nipple sucking.
