I do. I take an SSRI Effexor XR 150mg.
I don't dance anymore but it is for my social anxiety/generalized anxiety/depression/OCD LOL
200mg Lamictal (bipolar and A.D.D. due to my father having Tourette Syndrome and
.05 Klonipin for everyday life. I feel great!
I still get nervous hustling even with the meds!
I take wellburtrin and xanax. I don't think it effects my hustle either way. I actually don't even take it on a regular basis when I'm not in school. I get anxiety around people that matter i.e. meeting bf's family not dudes at the club.
I take:
Neurontin
Trileptal
Wellbutrin
Prozac
Adderall
Seroquel
Doxepin
Ativan
And some lovely Thorazine thrown in for good measure.
Walking pharmacy? Why yes, I am. Do I like it? No, I don't.
I've taken anti-depressants before but I haven't for a long time.
^^^I'm schizophrenic, so some of the things I take supposedly have multiple uses, but this is what I'm told they are being used for in my case...
Neurontin is for seizures and to make me calmer too.
Same with Trileptal.
Seroquel is an antipsychotic.
Doxepin is an antidepressant that is supposed to help me sleep too, not sure if it actually does.
Thorazine is an antipsychotic as well.
i take meds. that is all.
They put me on Seroquel once. It was horrible. I was still in high school in my senior year, they gave it to me to make me calm after my mom passed. It made me so drowsy I couldn't stay awake in class. I hated it, it caused me to fail my senior exams cause I couldn't stay awake.
I would like to take antidepressents, but am afraid of the side effects.
I take Lexapro for my anxiety problems but also works as an anti depressant.
I used to be very against psychological pills...but sometimes you need them. I treid therapy for years and various techniques...
Since I've been on lexapro I['ve been much calmer during the day my mind is ot going 100mph anymore thus I'm happy
i think i've told you this before, but i take neurontin for my bladder condition. it's been the only thing to calm my internal seizures (cystitis) and when i dont have it for 2 days, i really do feel the difference internally, and feel my pain like crazy. neurontin is the miracle that has kept me functioning and not catheterized all the time.
other than that, while i don't take antidepressants, i take a shitton of meds:
neurontin
allegra
naproxen
advair
astelin
flonase
ortho-cyclen
synthroid
combivent
i also get allergy shots every other week.
eta: when my sister died, i took celexa, which didn't work, so i tried paxil, which made me suicidal, and then finally prozac which did the best. but then my issues passed. been anti-depressant-free since 2002.
I take:
Seasonal
Actigall
Viokase
Ambien
Cymbalta
klonopin
Vicoprofen
I've been on many other anti-depressants and anti-anxiety drugs but they never work for me. I can take them by the handful and I might as well be taking tic-tacs for all I feel. So far I'm getting nothing from the Cymbalta or the klonopin. I'm continuing to give them a chance for the moment though.
I am supposed to take:
Flexeril- When needed. Doctor thinks I have CFS.
Ibuprofen 800- When needed. For supposed muscle and arthritis pain
I am supposed to take:
Lamictal
Lexapro
Ativan
All for Bipolar
Personally, I try not to take any of them. I have this fear of becoming addicted to them. I get addicted to things pretty easy.
Ginger- I do not see how you function on all those meds. However, I do know that you need them. I cannot believe you still work and have a social life. I know two Schizophrenics, and neither of them work or have social lives. I am proud of you.
Yeah, I can really tell a difference without my Neurontin. It's weird, because it feels like I have the flu. I start to shake and get really hot/cold, my head hurts, and it feels like things are crawling around under my skin. It's totally a miracle drug!
Thank you. :)
I'm 'high functioning', or at least the docs seem to think so. Honestly, nobody can really understand how I'm even able to get out of bed. There have been times that I'm been a total zombie, but I'm totally evil without my meds. I'd rather be slightly dazed and confused than be the crazy lady yelling at cars because they are talking to her. Thank you for the compliment though. And I hope you get to feeling better soon!
I take a mild antidepressant, have since childhood.
I take Clomipramine, but I take it for sleep paralysis and OCD.
I take Wellbutrin, Buspar, and Clonopin.
Cymbalta, 60mg. That's it. It definitely makes a difference, especially in the winter months. (On my own, I've added in exercise and a tan every other week.)
Not to semi-threadjack but.... how many of ya'll took em as kids? And did it cause you to develop a wonky sex drive once puberty started kickin in?
