Site issues? Or perhaps PM another mod about the mod you are having problems with? That worked for me.
Errr...you should probably PM a different mod about the one you're having trouble with. Making a thread about it in site issues will probably be interpreted as mishandling the issue and make you look like a drama-whore.
i dont think mods can moderate each other, really. not unless theyre posting out of line in their section. you can try it, but it could go either way. they cant DO anything about it.
I PMd a mod about another's behavior and they said they could talk to Tashia or Pryce about it. So maybe skip the middle man and go straight to them.
^ yeah. it helps, im sure, to have another mod on your side if you were going to go to tashia. but with the way things have been run lately, what really is going to happen? probably nothing more than a slap on the wrist, if anything.
ive had other mods go both ways. in one situation, 2 other mods were super helpful even though it wasnt in their section. in another, one ignored my pm and another said it wasnt their section (funny, because it was the same person who helped me the first time)
OK, ok I get it. Let's be the crowd of negativity and just tell the OP to STFU and there's nothing to be done about mod harassment (if it's truly going on). ::)
Come on. This kind of behavior doesn't fly around here. Something should be done if it's a problem. How helpful is it to come in just to pick apart solutions?
::) i'm just saying. you might get help, you might not. lets be honest. and i was giving examples, saying that in 2 different mod-related situations, the same person was helpful one time and didnt want to be bothered the other. i never said don't do it. just saying it might not have the desired results, and the op seems to have a lot of anger and frustration over the situation, which might be made worse if they dont get the response they'd like from another mod. so i'm just saying it's possible things won't go her way no matter what.
and to respond to your statement that that behavior doesnt fly.. oh yes it does. depending who you are, depending who the mod is..
The mod is "harassing" you for NO reason??? Well, I hope you get the situation resolved...That really sucks.
Umm... actually if its what I think it is then the OP is just pissed off she was given points for harassing another member and she doesn't think it was fair ::)
^^Thanks for clearing that up, Cally. It was taking me some serious self control not to do the same...
Ok, what did I miss?
In the thread Cameron started about anti depressents the OP was basically telling Cameron that the depression is all in her head and she doesn't need pills and started forcing her ideas on Cameron and harassing her outside the thread as well then went into a childish rampage in the random thread. So after getting countless warnings the mods gave her points and now shes throwing a fit about it.
^^thanks Cally..yes it wasnt about nothing. She was continuing to cause trouble even AFTER I asked her to stop and a mod asked her to stop. She also told a mod to go fuck herself and is now banned. Lovely attitude.
Oh wow such class!!!
just to make it clear, we mods NEVER pick on anyone for 'no reason'.
when a mod is pointing someone, it's usually something that many of us have agreed on and most of the time when someone pisses and moans about getting picked on it's because they just can't deal with the fact that they got pointed.
She was also starting shit in the "Being With a Married Man" thread in LO. Calling everyone in there "scum" and a "piece of shit." She got warned and pointed in that thread as well. I'm glad they got rid of her. And continuing all of the drama in The Random Thread of all threads??? Yeah... blame the mods. Sheesh! Peace out, Biotch!!!
this is just an aside, but it irritates me to no end when people insist that mental illness (including non-situational depression) is not a clinical issue and should be dealt with with without pills.
It's an actual problem, damn!!
Oh well.
Yeah ..this particular mod was i'm sure getting imput from everone to make sure she wasnt just making a decision hastily(because she had pissed her off). And I for one think she made an excellant choice. Not just because she was irritating me...but I know she has caused a lot of trouble in the past as well. It was time.
So to bitch and moan that it was for no reason...please. See. ya. Dont let the door hit you on the way out.
Holy crap.
Who the hell starts preaching about how depression isn't real in a medication thread? Jeebus.
Good riddance. All the buttplugs on SW lately are making me a sad panda.
She got banned? I still see her as a featured member.
Im not going to jump into the debate, but as someone who used an alternative method to rid myself of depression Id just like people to remind people that it possible to overcome depression without drugs / orthodox treatment.
I have woken up every day for the last 6 years or more feeling so happy I could burst. I feel mentally wonderful for no reason every day and it is such a great feeling! Before that I had 17 years of what became very debilitating depression in the end.
I wish everyone could feel this way but im not going to preach about it, just say keep your options and your mind open :)
Edited to add - sorry for putting this here, but im not going thread hunting.
Do! (Although ring / message first as I may be in Brisbane!) :)
I think it's no secret it was me who had some problems with the thread in Body Business about drugs and anxiety. All anyone needs to do is read it.
Also more happened that is not allowed on SW.
I was fair. I never took anything personal. But threads starting showing up all over about being harrassed by a Mod. (me) and the random thread was turning into a shit storm etc. etc. etc.
I don't like to see any member harrassed on the forums. I went by the rules.
