Re: Must see, must do before you die.
Ride a Cow (you'd be surprised how many farmers are against this, I was once YELLED at for offering money to do it, 'WHHHHY don't you get your family to do it!?' because I don't have family in Australia, jackass)
Hug a penguin, prefereably Emperor.
OH OH Can we see that Opera together?! I can't think of a better person to go travelling with!! We can book flights and just go together. I loooove operas!
Go on my 'food inspired' holiday. A three month holiday where I spend heaps of time in various countries just for the FOOD.

Re: Must see, must do before you die.

I've hugged a koala! They smell funny. :)

Re: Must see, must do before you die.
I want to take my son to India to see the Bodhi tree in Bod Gaya (I think?), since that is where his name is from. I want to do it when he's like 16-17 so he can appreciate it, though.
I also want to go to Egypt and see the sights, and tour all the ancient sites of Greece and Rome... I'm a nut for ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome.
And I'd like to go to Germany... just for because.

Re: Must see, must do before you die.
I want to hug a koala too!
Gondolas in venice were ok, bit dull..and that really did smell bad!
I also want to stay at raffles hotel in Singapore, or at least have tea there, watch an opera at la scala, hike up mach pichu in peru, make love on a hot caribbean beach, oh and visit the winter palace in russia. Oh well, am sure i'll do all that just this year!!

Re: Must see, must do before you die.
I want to pick up a baby tiger (or puma, jaguar, some sort of big cat) and play with it. I have cats, but it's not the same.
I'd also like to hike in Argentina

Here is a similar thread from a few days ago that I put my list in. I know there is more I would add to that list but they're just not coming to me right now.

Re: Must see, must do before you die.
I have a lot, LOL. :D This is kind of a combination of this thread and the above mentioned thread.
* I want to become debt-free.
* I want to retire young and only dance because I just want to stash more cash.
* I want to volunteer more.
* I want a house full of kitties.
* I want to buy a home.
* I want to learn how to scuba dive.
* I want to learn how to fly a plane.
* I want to be a successful model (not necessarily famous).
* I want to pose for Playboy.
* I want to go Handgliding.
* I want to visit a rainforest.
* I want to start my own motorcycle group.
* I want to go through a whole day without having a panick attack.
* I want to fall in love and get married again one day... and for us to just be truly happy together for the rest of our lives.
Places:
* India, of course... http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/ima...ons/icon10.gif
* Fiji
* Brazil
* The Greek Isles
* Turkey
* Morocco
* Egypt
* Sweden
* Amsterdam
* Australia
* Iceland
* Tahiti
* Sicily
* France
* Portugal
* Eastern Europe; mainly Poland, Prague & Budapest
* Russia
* Thailand
* China
* Nepal
* Canada
* Africa; Kenya & South Africa
* New Zealand
* Jamaica, maan!!!
....uuummm... I'm sure there's more, but that's all I can think of right now... :P

Not knocking your idea but I grew up on a Dairy Farm and never once did think about riding a Cow. Of course, after sending hours and hours and hours and hours milking Cows and cleaning up after them , it's not like I wanted to spend any more time around Cows. ;D

Re: Must see, must do before you die.
Caravan/camping trip around Australia at my own pace so I can truly enjoy this unique country.
Countries I want to visit before I die:
* Spain
* Brazil (yes, DEFINITELY during Carnivale time)
* USA (yes again... try to see a bit of all of it as such)
* China
* Italy (except Rome)
* France (except Paris - concentrate more on the "country-side")
* UK (go to Ireland, give London a miss, re-do Scotland)
* Egypt
Then I will be able to die happy.

Funny... that's how I felt when I was living in Italy. I didn't really care to visit Rome, and only made one stop at the airport, grabbed a couple of souvenirs, and left.

Actually, it has to do with the fact that my family at the end of one overseas vacation in my youth (teens) that we spent five whole entire days/nights in Rome. Rome is NOT the type of place you stay for five whole days/nights, imo. We saw everything there was to see, and do within three days. My father had mis-budgeted or something so we didn't have a lot of left over cash to do anything except stay in Rome.
So yeah. I had my fill of the place. I really would love to see the rest of the nation.
..and yes do the Leaning Tower of Piza a la MsQ ;)

Re: Must see, must do before you die.
I pretty much want to travel everywhere, so all I need is a dart board and lots of cash to make decisions as to which place I want to visit next.
Things I'd like to do before I die?
*Build an off-the-grid home that is fully modern and comfortable
*Own a gas-free car (the Chevy Volt is looking promising, and within my budget at $30K)
*Have $1 million or more in liquid assets.
*Help a dying person transition. (I sure hope there is someone to help me when it is my time, too.)

Re: Must see, must do before you die.
I went to level 2 on the effiel tower - not the top. It was fantastic so I do recommend it.
I also recommend the Singapore Zoo and also the bird park in Singapore.
Also Langkawi island is amazing.
London had so many great things to see such as the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace (inside tour in summer) and many others.
As for things I still want to do:
- Greek islands
- Italy
I would like to see the catacombes in Italy but I might get claustrophobic, I dont like enclosed spaces. Has anyone visited there?

OMG! YES!!! I loved feeding and petting the elephants and coming up so close to all of the animals. American Zoos do not even compare! :D

Re: Must see, must do before you die.
^^^
did u go at night or during day?
i went during day and i was pissed off to learn when i got back to Australia that you could do the night safari and they let some of the animals out and feed them and you go around in a little bus.
that would have been cool.

Re: Must see, must do before you die.
^^^We went during the day. I didn't know they did that at night, either. That would've been awesome! I loved The Monkey Show, and having breakfast with the orangutans. ;D
-
Re: Must see, must do before you die.
I did breakfastwiththe orangutans too! Did you smell them? they stink LOL. when i was getting my photo taken the orangutan had a baby and the baby grabbed my fingers it was so cute but the mother pulled it away!!
I could not go to the top of the effiel tower, im not brave enough. isn't there a restaurant up there?
-
Re: Must see, must do before you die.
Hahaha! Yeah... they smell. In my photos, the orangutans were way too busy eating their fruit to even bother paying any attention to me. :P I have some funny pics of the mama and the baby just chowing down.

Re: Must see, must do before you die.
I've got a huge list of things I want to do. But the one that is at the top is this: I want to go to Peru.
I've been fascinated by that country for so many years. It's a dream of mine to go there.
