CPA help
Okay so every once in while I come into this part of SW, but typically I avoid it because I just don't understand the quarterly taxes and paperwork of it all. But I'm at the point where I want to start claiming money so that in a few years if I decide to buy a house I've got something on record and I'd really would like to start investing without being paranoid.
SO I have two questions....if I file taxes as being a dancer can any employer in the future find out that I filed taxes as a dancer?
also, I have to just give into the fact that this is way too complicated for me. I want a professionals help because I'm bound to screw this up as far as making sure I do everything right for filing. Can anyone recommend someone that could help me do this in Maryland? Round about how much do these services cost?
Any help would be appreciated....sorry I feel so dumb asking this:-\

Re: Financial Advisor
You will want to speak to a CPA, not a financial advisor, in these matters.
Your employer may or may not find out if you were a dancer. It depends on how deep your backgroun check goes. Chances are, they won't be able to look at your tax returns.
All that most corp. employers look at is your credit history and criminal records.

Re: Financial Advisor
Okay I changes the title to say CPA :)
So how expensive are CPA's? I'd rather get one on recommendation but I guess finding one in the phone book wouldn't be too bad right?
As for background checks, I plan on working in the schools one day....I'm very concerned about them finding out about my taxes as a dancer....I've heard schools and other places that deal with children can be very particular and judgmental about these things... :(
