OMG!
I used to love him. :'(
:'( He was a cutie. What a waste, he could have been big if not for the drugs.
That is really sad...RIP
Really, really sad. :-\ I hate addiction.
Aww.... *cry*
hollllly crap. he looked SO bad for 25, even for an addict!!! (duh i guess right?)
what!?
i used to LOVE him! i had his posteres up everywhere, hah along with JTT.
damn.what a disapointment. guess being a child actor takes it toll on almost everyone.
Coverage says drugs and alcohol. Which drugs exactly?
It says he was drinking last night but he had been/was trying to get off heroin. He was only 25.
Oh shit, I just watched "Bully" 2 nights ago and my friend was saying he was in trouble with drugs. Now THAT is not an easy movie to watch.
So sad. :(
I'm really sad about this. I really liked Brad Renfro. He was a good actor. Always brought something special to his roles. He was the lead in "Telling Lies in America", which was some little movie I was obsessed with as a teenager. And he was cute in "Ghost World", as Scarlett and Thora's crush-boy. Addiction is so tragic :(. RIP, Brad.
So sad :-(
Yep, I was kinda suprised. I really liked him:(
To be honest, I wasn't all that surprised to read about what happened to Brad Renfro. I'd heard somewhere before that he'd gotten in trouble with the law and drugs, and for some reason he seemed like the type that would get into drug problems. Perhaps I also tended to think he was prone to this kind of trouble because he appeared to have a rather wise-cracking, smart ass attitude in interviews. But intuition aside, it's still quite a tragedy that this happened. He was rather cute and a very talented actor, too. Hells, it's a tragedy when ANYONE dies at such a young age. It seems that every day, I keep hearing or reading about more and more young people(whether it be celebrities or people that I know very personally) dying young. It's so depressing.
I was reading an article about his death today, and in it someone was explaining about how he got picked for his movie role at the young age of 12, and how at the time some thought the movie break would turn out to be either the best OR the worst thing to ever happen to him. The guy went on to explain about the drug and legal problems that came with Brad's new fame, and how perhaps getting involved in all of the show biz at a young age might have corrupted him so to speak. It's all such a shame really. It's upsetting that Hollywood is so polluted with drugs and corruption, that young people(including other naive celebrities, such as Britney Spears or Lindsay Lohan) get roped into all of it.
