Non adult/industry related work
For about a year I was working at home for call centre companies with a company called contractxchange.
Contractxchange mainly contracts canadians but are know for accepting americans for some of their call centre companies.
www.contractxchange.com is thier website do you want to gain call centre/customer service experience this would be a good place to start.
you set your own hours in the company hours of operations so if you still want to be coutinue what you are doing now you can.
There is also another company that is mainly for people in Ontario but they have had people come in from Alberta. if you can get to the training location you can take the phone orders for pizza pizza and swiss chalet.
www.toucan.cc
This is just another interesting way to make another form of income outside of what you are doing or add to what you are doing now for job skills.
this is also a good option if your having hard time finding regular work and not sure how to get back into the "real" job world.
I wanted to share this instead of always talking about adult work.
Re: Non adult/industry related work
If i am right, doesn't these two companies want a person to pay to work for them? I heard so, never looked into it myself.
Re: Non adult/industry related work
Thanks a lot, for that info. I'll look into it.
Well, I checked out contract x-change co. They don't want laptops, which is what I use. They also require a monthly software lease, a 75.00 training fee, online access training fee, possible scanner (a certain type) purchase.
I've checked out a few other companies for this type of thing, as well. They did require a one-time $30.00 fee for background check (some require drug testing). On some of them you have to be set up as a LLC, & some other virtual stuff.
Re: Non adult/industry related work
ContractXchange can be a bit pricey, depending on the client you are hired for. that was the one thing I didn't like about them, the network fees is becasue of the system they use your basically paying for the software, service and online work environment each month they are try and host online office parties or they will host events at resaturants or cottages (I never been to one they werre always way to far away from me in cities in across canada i never even heard of) or if you working for TSc they invite agents to visit the office and studio.
I have no clue what their american requirements are. I know when I was there for a year I had to myself a GST number, police background (no drug testing). headset, extra phone line and also more memory in my computer.
the other company you have to provide your own headset, computer, and internet and phone line their training is free but you have to be in toronto ontario to the training for abotu a week. some of the agents in the training class wherre coming across canada for it while contractxchange you train in your own home in your pjs.
I know there is a few american companies that do this their requirements will be completely different then contractxchange or toucan. because they are canadian base and follow different guidlelines.
I also found online away you can become a travel agent with www.travelsourcenetwork.net or www.travelonly.com
Canadian companies travel only and travel source network
American company is nexion. I did not want to make another thread abotu the travel agent companies because all their major info is on their website of how you can become a fully liscences travel agent who works from home
www.travelsourcenetwork.net or www.nexion.com (US)
www.travelonly.com
When I come accross non-adult work things I like to share them with my adult community because you never know when you might want a break or try something outside of what your norm is.
Re: Non adult/industry related work
