VIP rooms
Okay, am I the only one here who DOESN'T typically try to hustle VIP rooms?
I feel like I'm getting ripped off when I do them. Not only do I get less money per song (more goes to club), but I also have to take more clothes off and allow more touching. Even with good tips, I still might as well just do plain ole lap dances, especially since I rarely only get 1 lapdance only out of a guy. Am I missing something? Maybe I need to find a custie that tips over $80 per room or something?

Re: VIP rooms
This is a capitalist talking as opposed to a customer.
Do you do a dance on every song? If so, then the floor is typically a better place for girls. Assuming a song is 4 minutes, then there are 15 songs per hour. 15 x (cost of dance) is how much you would make per hour. If a dance is $20, then that's $300. If you have any downtime during the hour, than you are losing the cost of that dance. Assuming that you really get a dance on every other song, you are looking at 7.5 dances per hour. That's $150 per hour on average. For an eight hour shift, you would make $1,200. This assumes that you spend no time in the dressing room or chatting it up with fellow dancers. How many dances do you realistically do per hour over the course of a night? Its probably easier to get floor dances during busy times and harder during slow times. Your best strategy is probably to push the vip rooms during slow times and push floor dances during busy times.
Wow, I knew that my degree in Economics would benefit someone someday.

Re: VIP rooms
I think it depends on the club.
Where I work you keep all your VIP money and the way the club is set up it's more comfortable for both parties to go to VIP.
Thus, I always up sell to VIP before and during a regular dance, cuz in my club that's where the big bucks are made.
However, a lot of dancers try to be VIP only and that's stupid IMO.
If you can keep the momentum up doing regular dances then it might be beneficial for you not do VIP unless a guy wants it and then try to have the customer pay the clubs cut.
I always ask my customers to tip the Host for us before we are seated, so we get a better spot ::)
