So say I want to buy shares in an NZX traded company. Where do I go, what do I do?? My TD Waterhouse account is only for US and Canadian markets.
Bear in mind that if you do that you will have a foreign exchange position as well. CA/NZ currency swaptions come to mind but that's a bit delicate.
this is a basic difference between a discount broker and a full service broker.
The discount broker that offers access to the most foreign markets is probably e-trade. I doubt that they do the NZX though.
