SexyStar, how long have you been dancing?
Your questions are all relative to where/ what club you're in and your length of time dancing.
I think each dancer as an individual should decide what average would make them happy. Would you continue to dance if you capped at $200 per night? If you're satisfied with that, then that's a great goal to set for yourself, esspecially if you're new at dancing. I think it's safe to say that dancers who are strong husslers should average around $100 per hour per shift. So for a six hour shift $300 to $1000 is not too far either side of $600.
$300= slow. $600= average. $1000= good. $1500+= great!
Your next two questions kind of go hand and hand. Sitting and talking vs. getting right to the point and how to work a slow night with tourists. If its slow and they're tourist, they probably are going to be alittle more laid back and get more of a feel for thier surroundings, take thier time 'window shopping' for just the right girl, etc. This is where reading the custie comes into play. Personality goes a long, long way when there's lots of options and time to consider. Talking may be what sells you and if it's slow, what else do you have to do? If it's busy, time is money. You can be friendly and still to the point. "Hi there/ how are you?/ what's your name?/ I'm so and so./ Let's go for a dance." (*in head* because if not there's twenty guys that would and I'm going to get to them right after were done). Some clubs are not 'sit and talk' clubs even if it's slow. You really want to pay attention that you're not 'sitting on' customer who has no interest dancing with you, when another girl can have her turn to make money with him.
I hope that helps.
I believe it I didnt think they did dancers lie too much lol thats like when i was moving to vegas some girl told me to go to a club called xgentlemen no such club and there was never a club w that name lol ppl r funny
Ive been dancing now for about a year and a cpl months I try to get the hang of different places I do hustle where im at its like you either do or you make no money and i love that because when i go to the clubs where its not needed and i hustle i make bank.
Thanks for the advice I appreciate it and your right about it being up to you what you feel is good money or decent to you I was just wondering what everyone was use to you know? and if a woman is content with making 200 a night she works 5 nights a week thats 1000 dollars right
ok so lets say she likes to make 1000 a week there for by asking other ppl what there content w or how things work where there and and suzie says she maks 1000 a night avg in texas all she would have to do is visit texas for a month and then not work for the next for months. all depends on how u look at things you know
I can't get off SW!
Yeah girls lie for sure but usually the girls making 1000+ are not the ones bragging at work and screaming about it. When I had a great night I told my two friends but no one else and sometimes not them.
Vegas is tough because there's a lot of competition. And I agree fully on 100/hour for good hustlers - that's a great goal to have.
i got distracted while i was typing reply and didnt see your post about cut throat/ extras girls... first, try a different club. second, try to get your customers complete attention when youretalking. you sit on his lap or pull up very close to him and be a 'close talker' all up in his face.
if theyre letting the girls jack guys off on the floor wtf happens in the back?
On a positive note... ive found that guys who spend lots dont want the skank. The guys who want to nut for $20 do. who do you want to appeal to? =)
I cant either for some reason lol its like im either reading or posting i love it lol way better then talking to dancers that lie at least if someone in here starts to lie you have a bunch of ppl waiting ready and willing to call them out on it and back it up with facts and experiences i love it lol
haha... i don't say what i make when asked. The reply really is: slow, average, good, great.
Very true I'm going to just get in there face more then because me I'll just say something a lose control but in a nice cool way
like if im talking to a customer and a girl comes and sits right there and starts talking lets say her name is stacy ill say something like " oh let me introduce you to my coworker skanky...i mean stacy...oh my goodness i wonder what made that slip up" then look at her and ask "do you have any idea why that might have slipped out?" lol
im just silly or ill say something like you want him sweetheart ok hold on and whisper in the guys ear and say something like honey I have to take a water break so I'll give you a chance to dance with the rest but when your ready for the best I'll come back. then i go to get up and he pulls me back down and tells the girl no thank you can you please leave lol
I like to believe i cant be cut throated, if another girl can swoop in and snatch him up, then i didnt have him 'sold' on me in the first place. it still sucks, but at least i leave the situation with my head held high.
me personally i dont consider what i do back to be cut throat but to make it clear to the dancer that I will not be stepped on or disrespected by anyone by no means
because if you allow it once youll allow it forever and once dancers sense weakness in you the game is over especially in a big club
So I let me voice be heard clearly demand respect from the dancers by doing so and make my money
men are attracted to confidence in my opinion more then anything or almost anything so if you bow your head and walk away thats not going to really make him continue to want you if he did in the beginning i mean do u agree?
to me it would show a lack of confidence. The woman coming over is basically showing or trying to show how much confidence she has by doing something as bold as sitting there talking over you to your customer...
I dont think your response was cut throat.
I agree with what youre saying about standing your ground. Ive had to put plenty of dancers in there place for showing thier 'ass'.
However, I also think that as quickly as a custie is attracted to confidence, he's turn off by bitchyness.
This is a sticky situation. Being assertive without being argumentative. Being confident without being arrogant. The girl who sits on your customers lap while youre talking isn't confident, its confrontational.
IMO.
very well said. You have a lot of wisdom lol i love it...can you respond to my post in the newbie section about pimps and give ur opinion thanks
sure.=) I went to smoke a cigarette and thought about this alittle more and wanted to add...
Chrissy has great advise. Probably because she's been dancing 7+ years and learned from experience. I've been dancing 8+ years and I (like you) have that New York 'fuck off eat shit and die' mentality (im originally from nyc). I've learned the hard way that like growing thick skin, you have to look at the bigger picture. Look at you night as a whole, if you get pissed at one situation after the next, youre going to carry that to the next custie you talk to. And the next and the next. Nothing will fuck up your money like being aggravated. You'll then carry that over to the next night you work. If you let every bullshit petty thing that happens in the club be a reason for you to 'voice you demand for respect' youre going to get burned out fast. Im not saying to let anyone walk on you, but choose you battles. Is *insert some cut throat bitch situation* worth you losing your composure?
And along those lines... if he was very attracted to you because you are confident, but still directed his attention to the other dancer (didnt say "not now, we're busy") he's probably more attracted to the dumb ass who's going to work that hard for him. And she'll probably give him a hand job for $20 on the floor. =) hehe
No freakin kidding! I didn't see the unedited posts, but assume it's some good money.
Doing 1000$ in pure lap dances takes some serious power housing and a perfect setting, to do on a regular basis and 8 hours (for me).
I vote Austin get their sh*t together and get REAL vip/cr!!!!
It all depends on the girl, i think. When I started dancing I was working 5 days a week during day shift. I was happy if I made 200 a day because it meant that I was making over 50k a year. Now I get mad if I leave with under 500. I don't make a grand a night but lately have been making a grand once or twice a week. I took last night off but made 2,400 between tues. & wed. I HATE DOING LAP DANCES. I hate the hard penis that always hits my back when i lean backwards (PUKE). I hate dodging mouths that try and attach themselves to my nipples. I hate hot breath on my neck... I could go on and on. My thing is getting bought off in VIP. We have an awesome VIP room. There's one thing I've learned about making a grand.. two grand.. more. ASK. When it's time for the customer to pay up just be like "so is 1,000 ok?" if they look at you funny just say "well that's ok right? that's usually what people give me." If I'm feeling fiesty I might throw in "well, you can afford it can't you? it's not a problem right." You can usually tell how far you can push by the end of the night. I usually don't push for over 2,500.
To sum up the point of this thread:
Stripping is a job of skill. It is not a job of looks. It is not a job of how well you shake your ass onstage. Your pay is a function of how well you can gain rapport with a customer and close a sale. It takes YEARS to get to Chrissy's level. It took me 4 years to identify those skills, and over the past 4 1/2 years I have continued honing them. I still make mistakes, but everytime I lose a sale I learn something from it.
