And this is why back-alley "butt injections" are a very bad idea.

Wow.
Really, if you are going to do something like that, do it right and go with a reputable doctor. Not some quack in a hotel room. (isn't the hotel room alone a good indication that something isn't right?!)

I know this is inappropriate.... but "back alley" and "butt injections" put together made me

Re: And this is why back-alley "butt injections" are a very bad idea.
That's crazy.. I would think that a cop would know better. Maybe not.

Re: And this is why back-alley "butt injections" are a very bad idea.
Reminds me of that Nip/Tuck episode where Dr. Merrill Bobbit is injecting bad botox and performing back-ally lipo :yikes:

Re: And this is why back-alley "butt injections" are a very bad idea.
Well any silicone injections are going to be back alley b/c this procedure is not legal here. About 8 girls at my old club in Detroit had this done. Their asses (and boobs!) looked great at the time, but I'm curious to see what they look like now. I'll pop in there next time I'm home and see if any of them are left. I really can't believe any of them were crazy and vain enough to do this to themselves. Especially when they have children to take care of!!!

I understand that hope springs eternal. I splurge on the occasional cosmetic product with outrageous claims that I know isn't going to work, but that's the power of wishful thinking.
Having god knows what injected into my ass from an water jug is where I draw the line, however.

Re: And this is why back-alley "butt injections" are a very bad idea.
I still know a lot of girls who would do this.

Re: And this is why back-alley "butt injections" are a very bad idea.
There's a woman that used to solicit dancers at Sue's Rendezvous for her pumping parties. The woman was making a killing at $300 per shot. I wonder if its the same lady.
One of my friends was going to go to one, until i told her those chics are using INDUSTRIAL SILICONE mixed w/ baby oil. hello! Many young transexuals fall for this crap because they cant afford proper plastic surgery.

Me too. I'm curious to see how all those asses will look in a decade or so.
In the clubs that some women visit and see the booty-shot queens walking off stage with BAGS FULL of money, it is easy to rationalize the risk.

Yup to both statements. I've thought about gettting them, but I know me, and I'm to chicken to fall for the risk involved.

Re: And this is why back-alley "butt injections" are a very bad idea.
Oh no doubt, I thought about getting them a while back- just to fill out the 'top' since I already have booty:P . But why risk it for a 'career' that won't last more than 3/4 years?

:O I never knew they used industrial silicone !

Re: And this is why back-alley "butt injections" are a very bad idea.
if someone is using industrial silicone and baby oil it is a sure bet you are going to get screwed. I have never heard of that.
What they use is pmma and a mix of saline i believe. My girlfriend got it done through injections in a atlanta hotel room with her friends after seeing the results from others.
almost three years and counting, and it still looks killer. It cost her 1800 then.
Almost every dancer in miami has some kind of ass injection or implant now.
I hate needles (i heard they were pretty large) so i don't think i'd even consider it.
I like my small shaply ass anyway.

^^^ In a hotel room.
Yup, that's a sterile environment.
And how do you know it was PMMA? How do you know what it was at all?
Ugh this whole topic just irks me.

actually i know several that have gone this route, it has been going on for a while.
I was told it was Pmma, do i know for sure? No, i was not there.
Would i do it? fuck no. Not just because it's in a friggin hotel room but because of the large needles and other things that were described to me in the story's.
I didn't say ANYONE should do it but they don't all turn out in death :D Hell, every cosmetic procedure is a risk, more so in this case.
But how many have lived/versus how many have died in this type of situations? Go to Miami and see all the the living women and yes, even men with injections yourself.

Re: And this is why back-alley "butt injections" are a very bad idea.
It's not PMMA.
I don't mean to start a war, or imply that I know more than anybody else does, but I'll tell you why:
because there are only a few makers of actual PMMA, and the volume of cc's needed for butt injections make it cost prohibitive, even when bought overseas in developing countries.
What is being injected is silicone, bought from sites like this:
Complications like hardening of scar tissue (similar to capsular contracture), infections, and necrosis can develop years after the injections are done.

Ok. No war. Like I said, i heard it was pmma through someone else. I cannot verify it. I will ask a couple girls about it again when i get back down there.
I dont know of the reactions, but they have been doing it across the border for years and not everyone has had reactions. I would be interested on the stats on that however. What i have seen does not look bad and I don't know any girls personally that have had reactions. Again, i am sure there are a lot i don't know about but I wouldn't say one new's story is a definite prognosis on everyone who undergoes any paticular ass injection.
Any surgery done that isn't approved in the usa is going to have to be done on the "down low." Lots of surgeries are sucessful using the same methods in different countries. When something is not legalized a lot of precautionary methods are thrown out the window.
-
Re: And this is why back-alley "butt injections" are a very bad idea.
Maybe it wasn't the just the silicone that kills people in particular or permanently hardens tissue. Maybe what kills people is the mix, the lack of doctor preforming the surgery or the nonsterile environment, or particular unknown allergic reactions? There are so many variables to consider.
Don't quote me on this but i believe i heard something like 5% saline needs to be mixed with a certain type of silicone in order for it to be less risky. Not everyone will follow those particular procedures if there are no repercussions.
Pmma is also being injected, but I think it may be more expensive and typically injected outside of the usa.(think you are right smartcookie) Also fat transfer injections which are very costly and I would think not as typically done on the "down low" because it is approved and a very invasive procedure.

I bet that shit hurts like a mofo. The needles, that is. I'm not scared of needles but I remember when I had to get a steroid shot in my butt, it hurt like hell.

That doesn't make it right or ok.
I mean hell, i'm sure plenty of women took Thalidomide with no issue either. :P

I never said it was ok. :)
what i did say which i will reiterate, is that a lot of women have gotten this procedure done and they havent died, and it looks good still NOW.
