I am having a lot of trouble making a huge decision in regards to my future career.
I have to decide this by tomorrow and it's really stressing me out.
My options are:
(1) begin a training course which will lead to me being admitted to practice law by November this year. This costs $6,600, will take up approx 25 hours per week (it's predominantly an online course) and I will still dance on the weekends for an income.
(2) leave it for this time next year and just have a break this year and dance.
The reason I am considering a break is because I have had a lot of problems with anxiety this year and I'm not sure if I can complete this successfully at the moment. I probably can do it but my friend suggested that I look after my mental health this year and just start it next year.
If I do that, it means the whole year I am not getting anywhere towards my career in law and that next year I will still have to dance while I finish this training course.
The other issue I have with this course is that it is the alternative to doing paid articles of clerkship at a law firm. I was unsuccessful with my applications to do articles (which also leads to admission to practice). I could still try to apply for articles all this year and see where it gets me.
Im so confused about what to do. I dont want to regret the decision that I make.
I have to make this decision by tomorrow because I have to either accept the offer to do this training course or decline it. If I accept it I am liable to pay the full course fee $6,600.
