Two or three. I've got my work ethic back these days, I love going to work but after four or five days in a row I get very excited about the weekend... and then after the weekend I get very excited about going back to work. Right now I'm not getting scheduled as much as I like, especially at my favorite club (I'm working two clubs at the moment), so I've been very keen to get to work lately. I want more shifts!
About 2. When its not too stressful and I haven't had alot of assholes 2 is good for me. When I've worked back to back days like 4 in a row I need at least 2-3 days off before the next shift. If not, I get bitchy real quick with customers.
Depends. If I have a shitty night like last night, am hungover and pissed off, I wait a day. I wish I could wait 2 but I need money right now, even if it's the not-so-hot 150$-200$ I've been making lately>:(
When I have a good night, I am usually motivated to go in the next day, then if I have another good night, I'll go in again. I have been known to work 5 days in a row. I haven't had one of those weeks in a while, I need one!!!
3 years.
Yes 3 years off and I will be refreshed and ready to go.
Otherwise I guess one day... I can't allow myself to believe i'll have more then one day off or i'll get my hopes up.
3 days for me. Actually, 2.5 b/c on that third day be time it starts getting dark I start thinking about dancing again.
about 7 months and counting
I'm never ready to go back. If I take more than two days off from work than it's really hard for me to go back to work. I would rather stay home and read SW and eat lots of junk food.
3-4 days. Less than that and I start feeling like I'm at the club all the fucking time and start to feel suffocated and claustrophobic and can hear bass vibrating in my sleep.
My perfect schedule is thurs-sat.
i'm only working three days at the moment. i can't stand being there longer than that. so four.
I work 2 days out of the week usually. But, I really need more cash; so, I'm hoping to work at least 4 this week. I worked Mon. and Tues. so far. I need to go in tonight. I'm tired and sore so I prob. won't go.
depends on how long i worked before the days off, usually do 3 days a week of work, so im always excited to get back.
Hmmm about 2 months. I kinda wanna go back, but not really. My club has gone downhill since I've been out (actually it was in a long downward spiral for the last few months that I was working there). I dread going back. I guess I am straight up masochistic.
In NJ I could re-coup in one day. Used to work for 5 days straight and take 2 off. Those were the days.
I'm lazy. I work 2 days and take 5 off. But I still make 2-3x my monthly expenses so I don't really see a reason to work more than that, at least not right now.
It takes 10 days before I'm wagging my tail to get back into the club. I try not to let that much time lapse out of necessity, more than 10 days and I start to freak out about returning.
Now I only work here and there because my family doesn't need the monesy as much anymore but back in the day I used to work every other day. I needed that day off to recharge. When I didn't take it for whatever reason I was usually sorry.
So I thought I would totally bank tonight from feeling all refreshed and....it was just average. But at least I don't feel burned out.
two and they start today! Dog park for all the nighbors dogs and mine (right now I have four total in my house and by three it will double, heh.) I work on Satruday so I get a mild thursday and crazy friday off to do as I please.
And hopefully my sore muscles will be back to normal. Ten hour shifts kick my heiny!
It's been about a year for me now...
I have always found fault with the way many strippers treat this business. Many, but not all DO NOT treat this as they would a "traditional" job. I typically have ONE day off before working 6 in a row. I take off 14-15 weeks a year since I travel. When I worked where I lived, I usually worked 5 days a week, occasionally 6.
That is why most strippers have no savings, many have no car, or no reliable one, don't have their own place, or own a home. Most live day to day.
I don't ever feel "ready" to go back to work. How many people actually "enjoy" getting up every morning to work an 8-5 job? But they do because everyone has to work, make a living and save money for a rainy day.
You have to have a sense of discipline and responsibility to work a stable schedule on a regular basis without being required to.
Every person in life is not suited to self employment, in fact most people need structured guidelines and direction, which most strip clubs do not provide.
Every dancer here could work 3 days a week if she's a student, and 5 days a week if stripping is their only job, if they really wanted to always have money saved, and live comfortably. How many will is the real question.
M-W-F is my schedule, because I never work Saturday or Suday, and I need a day off in between days.
Tina, when I started this thread, I half KNEW you were going to post something like this. ::) While I respect your opinion, (and AGREE that we all need to go to work consistently) the point of this thread was that it take me three days to feel truly refreshed. I was wondering how long it takes the other girls before they WANT to come back to work. There is no need for a lecture!
As I said in my op, I RARELY take three days off in a row. In fact, I consistently work 4-5 days every week. BUT as much as you want to pretend that stripping is like a normal job, it simply is not. This job is emotionally draining...so the point of the OP is that it takes me three days to decompress from it all!
