Re: "I could shake hands with what was inside"
So, they don't say how long after the birth of the twins the 'inside' twin survived. Like, was it still alive when they operated?
That is pretty cool, but also...wow...long fingernails? Bleeeech!

Re: "I could shake hands with what was inside"

The inside twins are typically living tissue, but they don't have brains. They are limbs and other body parts with blood vessels that are attached to the host body. I don't know that you could ever call something like that "alive."

Re: "I could shake hands with what was inside"
gross! *does the eebie-jeebie dance*
-
Re: "I could shake hands with what was inside"
Well, if it's alive as a parasite, it's alive enough for me to go "OMG that's NUTS!".

Re: "I could shake hands with what was inside"
Right, I'm not clicking, the responses are too freaky. I can already picture in my head what it looks like and it ain't too pretty.

Re: "I could shake hands with what was inside"
^ there's no picture, really, except for an indian guy that looks pregnant. There is just a graphic description, that's all.

Z:
They may be "alive," insofar as they're formed of living tissue. However, (IMO) if they lack brain matter and aren't sentient, they could be considered vestigial, kind of like elaborate 3rd nipples...

Re: "I could shake hands with what was inside"
Yep, I'm sure that's the only picture.
What I can't be sure of is that it won't scare you anyway!

Re: "I could shake hands with what was inside"

Re: "I could shake hands with what was inside"

I wish there were pics too. I'm fascinated by medical abnormalities..It's great that he can fully recover and live a normal life now.

Re: "I could shake hands with what was inside"
I've seen stuff like this before and its like :shocking: :yikes:. But I can't look away either. Most of the stories I've seen are from poor countries where medical help is basically so expensive to them its out of the question. Most of the time they don't even know they have a calcified fetus resting inside them.
You like medical anomalies? Here are some links but *warning* they are not for the faint of heart.

Re: "I could shake hands with what was inside"
Holy fuck that is so cool!! Why are all these weird mutations happening in India though?
-
Re: "I could shake hands with what was inside"
I would say that the reason why we see these issues (which isn't very many at all when you consider India has more than 1 billion people) in India and other countries is that most Americans would probably get an abortion if that type of abnormality was found on ultrasound.
And most Americans could also probably get an operation for their child when the child is still an infant. My mom used to work as an OBGYN nurse and she says there are tons of things that can go wrong that are not common knowledge simply to not scare expectant mothers.

The very end of the article talks about how the people in his town are taunting him.
After looking at those other posts by TM, I'm soooo happy that I didn't have any complications like that. *knocks on wood*
