Greetings from Gold Coast
Well, Hello.
Im Emilia...
I have seen this site on the interenet quite a number of times, but you have to be 18 to join, well I finally am..
I just recently called up all the clubs on the gold coast and brisbane to see where I can work. As im alterative, with black hair and quite a number of piercings, it was difficult for me to get work at some.
I have an interview and trial with cheerleaders this coming wednesday!
IM SO NERVOUS!! Ive been dancing since I ws 3.. But stripping I think is different...
Any help on how to make the trial okay?
The woman said (at cheerleaders) that she will see me dance and then see if I would suit cheerleaders or hollywood. Havent told her what I look like, there for when she see's me, I think she will just laugh and say no sorry you can work at either.
Hollywood would be rad to work at, heard all the girls make alot of money, but Im just not suited to working there...
Anyways, have fun today.. Im going to start working on my routine for this wednesday.. anyone from this area (gold coast, australia) wants to come and watch and support me would be great. Its at 7pm wednesday the 2nd...
would be awesome to make some new friends in this industry..
;D

YAY another Aussie girl!! Welcome to SW :)
Re: Greetings from Gold Coast
I really know nothing about Aussie strip club but we do have quite a number of fellow Aussies here on the board. Club Chat and Newbie Board will provide some useful information if you do a search on your desired topic. Welcome!
Re: Greetings from Gold Coast
Hello, Im from the Gold Coast, so are a couple of others here.
Im guessing if you pass the audition theyll put you in Cheerleaders at first. I worked there for a short time 6 months ago, its a nice club but Im not sure how business is currently. Good luck!!! Dont worry too much about the audition, they will just ask you for ID and if youve had experience etc then get you to dance on stage for a few minutes (take something to wear!) There are plenty of girls who had never stripped or even danced before so youll be fine! (-:
Not sure how your look will go down, but there CL was definatly more casual than HW.
Re: Greetings from Gold Coast
i'm from oz but i am in france at the moment. good luck in your audition and let us know how it went
Re: Greetings from Gold Coast
Hi from WA
(counting down till daylight savings finishes!)
Re: Greetings from Gold Coast
^Saving, not savings.
Also.. couldn't you take the piercings out to dance? I know it sucks, but you wanna make money, right? Black hair doesn't make you alternative. Black hair makes you have black hair. I have black hair, tats and, fuck, my FINGERNAIL is pierced...but you can seriously do all that and not be 'alternative'. You just gotta know how to do your hair and makeup. Go light on the black eyeliner and try some sparkly silvers or golds and browns to enhance your eyes so you can be 'the sexy girl with piercings' and not 'that weird alternative chick'.
Re: Greetings from Gold Coast
The manager of CL and HW is really professional and certainly won't laugh at you. Both clubs are really overbooked with girls at the moment.
Everyone has to start somewhere, everyone was a newbie once. If you don't get hired try Brisbane. It's a hellofalot easier to start dancing up there.
Re: Greetings from Gold Coast
Players will take you in a heartbeat.
I'm not too fond of Toy Box. CS (Cheersleaders) is alright however can be HARD work if you are not used to sales. The same with Hollywood. Hollywood is over-packed with girls and from my personal experience with Cheerleaders ... you can make just as much money at Cheerleaders as you would at Hollywood.
The only difference is that the door fee is generally lower at Cheers plus less girls overall working at any one time. Plus Cheers USED TO BE more relaxed environment to work within... have no idea what it is like now.
I'm with Lysondra. I work the private party scene in SEQ now.
I've given up on the club scene (you could say I'm in "retirement" from the club scene) as I'm not too thrilled with the options.
Stripping is a HELL of a lot different to any other dancing. It is a sales job and dancing ability does not equal ability to earn an income. If anything, the less you do dancing-wise the more money you make as stage is NOT where you make your $$$
Lap dances are.. thus learn how to hustle/sell.
