"rule #32323211: ALL dancers must work open till close"
I can understand that they dont have enough girls.
Also money is down lately.
But seriously expecting us to do 11 hours of dancing AND still make a profit? That includes 8-11 (depending on number of girls working) compulsory stage sets (15 minutes each)
The dance manager recently left, and rather than hire someone, the owners wife collects our availability, and the owner sits in the club ALL NIGHT watching us.
Oh and the DJ does the stage rotation (hes new, started the same night as me) and he has trouble figuring out who is where and when. So you can be on podium 1 for a set, get off with a 15 minute break (one dancer on after you) and be called to centre stage again. Then you might have 2 hours without a stage set. (plus some girls dont show up on time, so they miss their podium, which puts out the whole roster, and we have to check constantly)
They really need a house mum again, doing rostering/stage rotation etc, and to have 2 shifts : 8-3 and 10-5/6 so that we can be more productive and the guys dont get bored with the same 4 girls on stage constantly.
I cant wait till Ive lost this weight so I can find a more organised and better earning place. I LOVE the laid back atmosphere, but I cant take the hours, or the boss and his 'friends' hanging around constantly.
Any suggestions to make the next 2 months more bearable?

Focus on doing what you need to do to get out of there. In the meantime...can you cut back how many DAYS you work?
Don't they understand how this could cause burnout? Can't they put out an ad looking for girls? Can you?
You could secretly post an ad on craigslist that says your club is looking for girls to audition...
Re: "rule #32323211: ALL dancers must work open till close"
So the only shifts available now are mandatory eleven hour ones?!

They are advertising, but the only girls in since I started was:
a weirdo from Another State (where the guy pays $20 and gets contact above the waist, rather than $55 NONCONTACT, so 3 guesses what she was doing) who was staying in LDs for ages, and not paying the hostess the 'rental fee"(clubs cut), taking guys phone numbers to 'hook up later' and got rolling drunk
AND
a girl who came to audition, not speaking much English, and got her boyf to come in and 'hang out' with her
Its stupid we "HAVE" to stay, I went in sick, thinking that at least I showed up, and they wouldn't let me leave even though I nearly overdosed on painkillers and STILL couldnt shake my migrane. I DID leave but worked the next night as a 'favour'.
I cant do 4 nights a week and not get burnt out.
We "have" to do 2 nights (one weeknight, one weekend) each week, but Im about to tell them that next week I can only do Friday night, and a few hours on Sat, since I cant get my respite carer to stay later than 4am on a Sat.
Id work 4 nights a week if I could do 10-3 or even 8-3.

If you get 'called in' its usually for 10-3 then you dont pay a stage fee, but you cant ask to only be rostered on at those times. The night I worked 10-3 I banked, cos I was energetic and had to 'rush' my hustle, cos I only had a few hours to make money.

Jesus. I could do eleven hour shifts up to three times a week, if I had to do it more often than that I'd be physically exhausted and overwhelmed. Stripping is one hell of a workout!!
Re: "rule #32323211: ALL dancers must work open till close"
So, whats rule 32323210? hehe...
To keep it bearable? Well, Ive noticed that as long as Im staying busy time flys and before I know it were closed and my 10 hour shift is up. Maybe do some games? I have a friend where when things slowed down wed start competing for dances.... who can get 5 dances the fastest. Who can sell a VIP first? Go up to guys and ask for $1 and see who gets the most (this one I got from SW)
But then were both very very competative girls so its fun for us. Keeps us on our toes and gets us to go up to every single guy in there....
Re: "rule #32323211: ALL dancers must work open till close"
where is the nearest closest club?
it sounds like the only answer is to travel.
think about it-- if you have to travel one or two hours one way for a good four-six hour shift where you can make money, it's better than the deal you currently have.

I live in the worlds most isolated city. The nearest city with Stripclubs is 2800km away, over in Adelaide with Darcy Fox :)
There are other clubs in town, but Im still not in good enough shape to work there. And I think the rules are quite similar unfortunately :(
Thinking of moving to another city, I have 6 weeks work over in Melbourne, so Im keen to see how that turns out.
