Do Newbies Always Come in Waves?
Is it just me, or do girls audition in massive groups?
For some reason, my club will go months without more than one new-hire, but then for a month or two, we'll have four or five new girls every week. During the high-point of the newbie season, the best shifts get over-scheduled, the quality of stage shows goes down, and the instances of possible extras-ing goes up.
Is it similar in your club?
Re: Do Newbies Always Come in Waves?
I think it correlates with school schedules in my area. A lot of noobs show up when tutition bills come due, during winter break, and especially during summer break. Then by October they are usually gone or working a single shift per week.
Re: Do Newbies Always Come in Waves?
It's funny you posted this. I was just talking with a girl at my club last night - we were like What the hell is with all of these new girls starting in the same week. Her theory was that they are friends who tell each other about it. It seems to be the season in my club right now though.
Re: Do Newbies Always Come in Waves?
Yup! And I think it's new stripper girls season right now.
Re: Do Newbies Always Come in Waves?
yeah i think it is too--- and i think it correlates with the school schedule as well-- winter break, spring break and summer vacation. I started dancing may 11, about a week after my spring semester ended
Re: Do Newbies Always Come in Waves?
I went on vacation for a while and haven't been back yet. I am curious to see how many new girls have accumilated in 2 weeks. Should be interesting.
Re: Do Newbies Always Come in Waves?
I went to try a new club and there were a bunch of others too. Then I went to visit my old club and there were a shitload of new girls there too. Weird.
Re: Do Newbies Always Come in Waves?
its happening here too. god we have like 8 new girls a week of course only 1 or 2 stay.
Re: Do Newbies Always Come in Waves?
yep I will soon be a newb in another club. I haven't been a newb for 6 years! but I'm going because the money at my current club sucks! nothing to do with school on this end.
Re: Do Newbies Always Come in Waves?
We get waves of new girls in whatever time is percieved as the "slow season".
When business is slow all over town, girls tend to try out other clubs hoping the money is better somewhere else.
It's so frusterating because they come in little cliques and ignore the rules of our club and tend to be disrespectfull ("well, at MY club we can....") The schedule gets over-filled, everyone makes less money, then the new girls leave for their old clubs ("this club sucks...").
In a few weeks, the cycle begins again.....>:(
Re: Do Newbies Always Come in Waves?
The first four months at my current club it seemed like there were no newhires. Then I got my BA and came back 2 weeks ago to find all these new dancers, and new ones show up on almost a dialy basis. Friday night there were 25 dancers in my small club, of which 9 were new. The management won't put a cap on number of dancers pers shift.
Re: Do Newbies Always Come in Waves?
doesn't this REALLY annoy the regular dancers? I mean, i imagine that if a new girl or two shows up in my club, i'd be like "oh ok, great, whatever,"
but if an ARMY of new girls showed up over the course of two slow weeks, being all cute, earning what little money that could potentially be mine, i'd be irked, whether or not i show it.
Re: Do Newbies Always Come in Waves?
is it because of Spring, too?
