I'm a firm believer that it takes five or six weeks for any new, positive behavior to “stick” and become a habit. This thread is for any of us who want to post a milestone (or publicly announce an intention to change).
Congratulations, Six-Weekers!

Congratulations, Six-Weekers!
No soda (pop) at ALL for 6 weeks. I don't even wanna look at the stuff it looks so unappealing.
Rethinking the groundrules, I think the thread will get more activity if it is also open to "It's been 6 days..."
LOL...
What happens if we missed once in the 6 weeks ?
I start my shed the baby weight diet tommorrow.
Tomorrow I will kick my popcorn habit. It's become a problem. I've been trying to quit for the past week.
^^^ lol
I haven't had a drink at work in 2 weeks now. It feels good.
I also stopped taking ephedra like 3 weeks ago now I think. Maybe 4? That was HARD! But, it's done and over with.
I lost ten pounds in the last six weeks.
Today the weather was clear and warm enough that I started hiking again. This summer, my goal is to hike to Hidden Valley, a valley in the mountains east of town that you can't see until you hike up and over a mountain ridge.
Been six days and no booze. This has included: a SC visit; a couple of bar outings; a fancy steak dinner out of town with my irritating boss; and, most recently, an Italian dinner with my ex (she downed two glasses of red wine while nattering on). I have lost a pound or so, too.
Popcorn's in the trash and ephedra is history!
^^^ But you still get to drink red wine with steak? I hate you. :)
^^^ haha. Actually I don't do either of those. I haven't had steak in 20+ yrs and haven't had a drink in like um, a year maybe! lol
^^^ OMG. I don't think life would be worth living. But I respect your choices, and I love your thighs.
^^^ Thanks!
Yeah, I love your thighs too.
And now I've lost fifteen pounds! I don't know whether it's teaching eighth graders, walking up the stairs to the second floor of the school, getting up early in the morning, or postponing lunch until 2 or 3 in the afternoon, but whatever it is, it's working.
