Stripping vs. bartending vs. waitressing?
So my friends are totally against me do dancing, and would prefer me to bartend or waitress. If I were to do so in a strip club, would I make more than I would dancing? I just need to pay off student loans, and am looking for the cheapest way to do it!!
Re: Stripping vs. bartending vs. waitressing?
You're not going to make more money bartending than dancing, unless you're just a terrible dancer. You can make good money bartending, don't get me wrong, whether you work in a regular bar or a strip club bar, but it's not stripping money. You can't make 300 or 400 dollars on a Wednesday at any bar I've ever worked at, but you can dancing.

True on that. But if you're not comfortable with dancing, don't do it. Don't know what to tell ya!!
Re: Stripping vs. bartending vs. waitressing?
Try waitressing or bartending at the club. Build regulars. If you feel comfortable dancing, you will bank your first night dancing from the people that have seen you in the club , but haven't had a chance to see you dance yet.
Re: Stripping vs. bartending vs. waitressing?
Hmm..
If your friends were totally into jumping off a cliff...?
Idk - you won't make the same money waitressing/bartending as you would stripping, but in return you get a more 'socially acceptable' form of employment.
*shrug*
Re: Stripping vs. bartending vs. waitressing?
eh, depends on the club. some clubs you'll make more, more consistently bartending (less often, but also sometimes, waitressing). it really depends on club culture and customer base.
Re: Stripping vs. bartending vs. waitressing?
Who cares if your friends are against you dancing? Are they paying your bills? The only thing that matters is what YOU think is best for you. If you want to dance and your friends are giving you crap, tell them they've got until the 15th to come up with your monthly student loan payment.
Re: Stripping vs. bartending vs. waitressing?
most of our waitresses turn to strippers in a coupel weeks if that tells you anything.
Re: Stripping vs. bartending vs. waitressing?
Most important thing is: what do YOU want to do? and why? Has nothing to do with your friends. You'll probably have new ones in 10 years anyways.
