How to not give info to Pushy custies
I am my second week into the job, and have already made 1000! i love it but have definitely had my share of problems...in particular customers who want to know my real name, hang outside the club, get my number, they get really pissed when i put it off or switch the subject. how do i get around this without pissing them off?

Re: How to not give info to Pushy custies
Give fake info. and tell em you're way busy, this is the only time you have to see guys. If they wanna see you, tehy can see u here. Not sure how to handle the other questions.

Re: How to not give info to Pushy custies
Couple options for plausible lies to get them off your back (figuratively...well I suppose literally too!):
1) You'll get fired if you're caught fraternizing with customers and you can't risk losing your job.
2) You've dated someone you met at the club before and it really hurt you so you can't ever do it again.
3) You just got over a horrible relationship and are trying to take some time off for you
4) You have a girlfriend and she's cool with you dancing but not with going any further (this seems to avoid the instant turn-off that mentioning a boyfriend has on many guys)
5) You have to really get to know a guy before you give out your personal info (hint hint, come back and get more dances from me)
6) You're too busy to keep up with people outside the club, as mentioned above
7) You don't have a working cell because you need to pay the bill (hint hint gimme money, but I personally think that one's a little trashy; I don't want my customers thinking that I suck at my job so much I can't afford to pay my phone bill)
Or you could tell them the truth, that you'd prefer not to say and let's just enjoy ourselves tonight! :)

Are they pissed as in, oh you're just here for the money? That's pretty standard. Or do they refuse to get dances, etc unless you hand out the info? They may just be trying it out on a new girl. Or you may live in a nosy city (I do, for sure!). Or girls might regularly see guys outside the club.
You need to check them if they are that pushy. Firstly, lie completely. If they don't accept your "name", etc. tell them you don't see customers outside the club. Don't hesistate to make them feel bad about bothering you-*sniff* I'm not THAT kind of girl *blink blink*. Honestly, who cares if they are pissed? the sc's not, in the words of one of my former co-workers, a substitute dating service.

I always use 5 and 6 and they can get annoying if the guy keeps asking after I said it. I like 4 because it keeps the conversation sexy.
Usually, if they push too much I'll give them a cheeky smile or put my hand on the side of their face and say "Honey it's not going to happen ok" This will only work if you make it a really really soft sweet line.

Re: How to not give info to Pushy custies
I say just walk away. The ones who adamantly push for your number and try to hang out are not gonna drop a single dollar on you. Fuck them and move on.

Re: How to not give info to Pushy custies
Just make up a whole list of fake info you memorize for yourself...
I mean, I have no problem telling you my personal details. My real name is Katie. I grew up in Milwaukee Wisconsin, but lived in Chicago for 7 years before I moved to Vegas... in Wicker Park specifically, on the corner of Ashton and Fullerton? I love driving my BMW 318 TI which I have had for 3 years. It's black with tan interior. I certainly do frequent a lot of bars. Usually after work I go to Treasures for a cocktail because my roommate bartends there. It's pretty fun.
Lol get my point???

Re: How to not give info to Pushy custies
Give them the clubs number. :D

Re: How to not give info to Pushy custies
I have an email that I give out to customers and if they want to contact me, then they can email me on that certain address. I also use "I need to get to know you better before giving out personal information." No matter what though, if a guy really wants my information, I can only hold him at bay for a few weeks. They eventually get tired of the game but by then, there's a few new customers that I have anyway.
If they really get persistant and aren't spending any more money, sometimes I get frusterated and ask them why are they so special to get a date with me when everyone and their mom is asking me out when I'm at work.

You are working to make money not friends or bf. Tell them customers can't be friends(may or may not be true), but I am sure they don't want friendship. anyway.

Re: How to not give info to Pushy custies
I usually just say with a giggle "Oh, I don't think my girlfriend would like that very much." Which is always followed by a "Well she can come, too!" from the customer, to which I respond, "Well she doesn't like guys, so I better not."
They almost always drop the subject.

Re: How to not give info to Pushy custies
I just tell them I'm a person that likes to keep secerts and it's more fun that way.
As for seeing them on my personal time I'm simply not allowed to--or if they don't want to hear it I till them I have so little free that I charge 10times more per hr then they spend on me in the club becuz it cuts into my beauty sleep and the time I need to have at the gym to keep up a figure like mine.
Whatever I'm real good at saying no, but if I wasn't I'ld just lie becuz I'm pretty good at that 2.

Re: How to not give info to Pushy custies
"We can take care of all that AFTER the dance"
then forget hehe...
its none of their business

Excellent suggestions. I use #s 5 and 6 myself. Or I joke around and give out obviously fake info (like my real name is Martha Stewart) that makes them laugh but drives home the point that I am not giving them my real name.
Once I told someone that my real name is Sunshine. Why, with a real name like that, why would I need to make up a stripper name? They bought it.
:P
I second the fake name email addy. I have a fake real name and a fake name email addy to match. Works great!

Poster could not have said it better IMO. I usually always use excuse 1 & 2. You can say it's just not worth getting caught dating or fraternizing with a customer because this is how you pay your rent and bills. I usually make them feel bad if they try to be persistent about it.

Re: How to not give info to Pushy custies
After I go through these suggestions, if they still won't shut up about the phone # thing, I give them the number for the local Pizza Hut. :)
I can't take credit for this though...I read it in one of ViolaStrings' posts and although I think she was joking, I thought it was brilliant.
But they don't even get the pizza-joint number until after they buy a dance. :P "yeah, I'll give you a number after I'm done with you..." *nods toward the couch room*

Re: How to not give info to Pushy custies
You can also just not answer. Smile at them and keep dancing. That works too.

best tactic ever. :) You're brilliant. I've only done this a few times, but it's worked so well that I wonder why I don't do it more often. It's fun to watch custies keep spending money because they're trying to make you crack and give them some kind of answer. :P

Re: How to not give info to Pushy custies
^^ I might try that next time...just be a tease about it. Or pretend to teeter and be indecisive about whether or not to tell them anything...

I actually knew a girl named Sunshine in high school, her parents actually named her that, and she said people asked her if it was her REAL name all the time.
I also knew a guy named Kaos, pronounced like "chaos"

That's really clever!
I just use my old phone number. When I lived in Broomfield my number was 303-439-9369 (it hasn't been reassigned so it's safe to post, don't freak) so it's super-easy to remember and totally disconnected! I wish I could give out my childhood phone number cause it was hella-cool, (666-9350, also d-con) but it sounds fake.
My name is also, "Amanda," "Ashley," or "Emily" depending on my mood. The only crack in the name game is that there's a girl at the club who dances under my birth name, so I twitch a little every time I hear her name. ;D

Very sure, lol. I just called the number to check and it was a disconected message. I then did reverse look up and proved that yellowbook needs to update their information. The names of the couple are indeed my mum and step-dad...who now live far far away in Cancun Mexico, lol.:D

Re: How to not give info to Pushy custies
I'm not very creative, so...
My "real name" is my middle name. I grew up in the town next to the one I actually grew up in, and same with the town I currently live in. I don't do anything other than strip, and no, of course I don't have a boyfriend!...
...But I don't want one either.
I like the gf idea though.

Hahaha I love how detailed you are! I have the same kind of back story but I change mine up every once in a while to keep customers from comparing notes or anything like that.

Re: How to not give info to Pushy custies
I always try to laugh it off quickly, as I have the facial structure that seems to translate seriousness (i.e. "we'll get in trouble if I tell you that") into anger.
So I'll say something like "Oh come on...you KNOW I can't tell you that!!" ::giggly:: Act like he should know better than to ask--this gets a lot of guys to shut up.
For the diehard guys who just DON'T quit, I tell them that I made a personal promise to myself when I started dancing that I'd never hang out with anyone OTC. Any guy with class, once you've reiterated that ::big doe eyes:: It's A Promise I Made to Myself, will shut up. And all the other guys? Not worth your time. Giggle, walk away.
