Who CAN I give my info to? Plus health issues
I've been reading a lot of posts & threads urging not to give your info to any1 but my manager had me fill out a form stating I'm an independent contractor & the form asked for my address, #, & legal name so I wrote down the truth. Was this the wrong move?
Also, are there any special routines exotic dancers do to keep themselves in good hygiene?
What do you do to make your car not stand out?
Re: Who CAN I give my info to? Plus health issues
When we're talking about giving out personal info, this is what we mean:
You don't want something personal that could lead to you being stalked/hurt/harrassed to come out...
Therefore NEVER Tell your customers the make of your car, your real first name, the neighborhood you live in, your real birthday (believe it or not, one of my friends was able to get stalked by a custie who knew only her real first name and b-day), where you like to hang out, if you have kids, are married, etc.
The reason you never want to tell the dancers this is mainly because they might tell the other customers, intentionally or not. Some girls are just kind of dumb and flap their traps about everybody to all the custies...bad for your hustle, bad for your safety. (For instance my old roomie who worked with me one day accidently blurted out my last name. A customer happened to have the same last name and she was like, "Oh my God that's Jackson's last name!! Grr....
You also never want to share personal info with the bouncers or managers lower on the totem pole (if you don't have to).... they work for tips too and unfortunately would probably sell your personal info for the right price.
That said, the GM and who ever hires you has the right to know your address and phone number and Social Security.
Now, to be honest, I have an old address on my drivers liscence. I will never put my real address on there for safety purposes....But don't worry, it's not wrong that you did that. No biggie!
Finally, as for your car not standing out, don't EVER get personalized plates, hang airfreshners or get distinctive body work done on your car.
Re: Who CAN I give my info to? Plus health issues
A lot of people are surprised at how little bits of information can be used to track someone down. I do some private investigator work from time to time, and you would be amazed at how much info you can find with just a few stray bits of information and a working knowledge of google.
I was able to track an aol stalker for someone with nothing more than his real first nameand the knowledge that he was starting at a certain college at a certain time. From there, full name, address, phone number, license plates, criminal record, job history, credit history, and all sorts of other private info can be had with just a few keystrokes in the right database...

^^^I use the net to do background checks on my out of state clients if it is my first time travelling to them. I tell them in advance, of course. I actually don't even save the info, just verify it and make sure they're not employed by "Municipal", lol. But all I need is a first name/dob/cell phone number.
It's suprising...how little info is needed to totally know someone's entire life history.
VP...I have an old "State ID" that I use for that same purpose. No one needs to know where I rest my head at.
