I feel like the popular girl at prom!
I feel bad, sorry for posting so many threads!!
Anyway, I am deciding on which club to audition at, and it's between one kinda (not too bad) seedy one, and two nice ones. However, this is my first time dancing EVER, I'm 5'7" and 139 pounds, so not the best in shape, and I cannot dance sans pole!!
What should I go for? The not so great one to get experience, or risk rejection at the nice ones (but I can't do pole or floor work).
What to do, what to do??
Re: I feel like the popular girl at prom!
perhaps start at the not so nice one first to get some experience and get your confidence up. then when you feel like you have some moves down and feel better about your body go audition at the really nice ones that would be my advice. good luck :)
Re: I feel like the popular girl at prom!
Go audition everywhere and get a feel for them in person. You can hit all 3 clubs in an evening. Choose the one you feel best about and where the girls seem to be making the most money. I would start at the top and work your way down ( go to the best club first , if they hire you, just stay there to work ) .
Re: I feel like the popular girl at prom!
If I understood your post correctly, I'd say that if you can't yet dance without holding onto the pole, I'd go for the not-so-nice club just until you find your niche.
Re: I feel like the popular girl at prom!
Dancing nowadays is not so much about pole and stage acrobatics as it is about just prancing around the guys who may be at the tiprail and just putting in your time. The money is made in selling dances.
I would suggest if you are new and not in your best shape, to try BJ's first. I know girls who work there and do well. many Twin Cities girls work in Albert Lea, Austin, and Mankato as well, as those clubs are more laid back and work on bookings.

The popular girl at your prom went topless and collected tips ? Sweet !

^maybe you are muscular, and maybe she has a higher body fat percentage than you. two people can weigh the same, but look completly different.

Yeah, I should specify- I'm not in shape. Not because of my weight, just because, well, I'm not in shape. (I have a lil jiggle and I'm kinda pear shaped).
Sorry! Didn't mean to offend anyone!;D

Also keep in mind that just because a club has no pole and won't allow floorwork, doesn't mean you won't have something to grab onto for balance. The Seville has really thick columns on either side of the stage, it looks like Scheiks has some railings, and I am not sure about Rick's but I'd imagine it's similar.
