Re: Should you get tested?
It's always a good idea to get checked if you're sexually active. Other than that, once a year you should probably get a full blood panel done.
Re: Should you get tested?
you can't get an std if that's what you are asking but i would bring in hand santizier and baby wipes because i know in conditions like that, i can break out in acne or get boils.

Yeah I think that's what I wanted to know :) But I thought you could get an STD from a toliet?
EDIT
Okay that toilet thing was wrong but sometimes the girls offer me a sip from their drinks & I feel bad saying no 'cause I feel by saying no, I'm implying "you're dirty." How do I kindly say no thanks without offending some1?
Re: Should you get tested?
Just saying "Thank you, but I'm ok" should be enough but you could just tell them that you aren't drinking or you don't want to mix different kinds of alcohol drinks. I have a weird thing about sharing food or straws, even with my boyfriends, but if I try my friends' drinks then I just sip from the glass and move the straw away or drink where they haven't put their mouths. Sometimes I dip my straw in their drink and sip like that.
Re: Should you get tested?
you can get hepatitis from sitting on a chair bare assed after another girl has though i cant recall what strain....
Re: Should you get tested?
Sharing straws/forks/lip gloss, etc you can get meningitis.
Sharing mascara/eyeliner, etc you can get conjunctivitis.
Hep A can be spread by stool. Someone takes a shit - doesnt wash hands, you touch whatever, chew on nail. Rare tho. Thats the only hepatitis that I think someone could get at work. Not to mention most of us have had immunizations against Hep A and B.
In 7 years and Ive never heard of a case of a girl getting an STD.

You CANNOT pick up HPV or herpes from a freaking pole or chair. Bacteria, yes. NOT STDs.
Get tested anyway though. You can have HPV for years without knowing it and suddenly have cancer..without knowing it.
Re: Should you get tested?
Definatly don't sit on a chair w/ out a thong. When in doubt, I would bring a towel just to be on the safe side.
The chances of catching an STD in a strip club are pretty low but the chances of getting sick with colds, flu, or even staff are higher than normal. I used to never get colds before I worked in a SC but when I started I was getting sick roughly every 6 weeks.
But from the sounds of your club, especially on the other thread you started, the girls just sound nasty. I would get a new club ASAP.
Re: Should you get tested?
You are about 1000 time more likely to get Hep from sharing tweezers than from a pole. Normal bacteria issues still apply, but think about it. Whenever you hold a handrail - do you looking around and contemplate everyone's personal hygiene and how often they wash their hands? I'm not saying it's great, and I'm not trying to skeeve you out, but our bodies are pretty resilient.
Re: Should you get tested?
^^^ What Jenny said. We have this awesome thing called an "immune system" that fights germs for us. Just wash your hands regularly and stay healthy.
Re: Should you get tested?
Sexi, all of your threads have been really odd.... should I fuck customers at work? Should I get tested for STDS? It just.... I don't get.....Yeah.

You can get crabs from a toilet. I learned this from the unlikely source of an interview with Phil Spector regarding a toilet at a certain Hollywood recording studio, but none the less.
Re: Should you get tested?
^^^^Oh, my bad. Sorry Sexi :(
Re: Should you get tested?
SW is like germophobe central lol...
The things you MIGHT (im talking tiny chance) be able to contract at work (assuming you don't do extras or girl-girl stuff) would be maybe staph or Hep B, but you're statistically most likely to contract staph at a hospital anyway...
Don't freak about about toilet seats or poles unless you and the other girls are Spreading your labia wide and running your juices and orifices all over that shit.
Worry more about washing your hands after handling cash. That stuff has shit (literally) all over it, and you have an itty bitty chance of catching colds, flus, and other infections.
btw crabs from a toilet seat? hmm. Unless people be sportin a big ole bush I wouldn't worry... ::)
Re: Should you get tested?
As for the toilet, just hover.
Re: Should you get tested?
Dont bother hovering. Your hips/ass cheeks aren't going to be catching you any diseases. No need to be prissy IMO
Millions of people thrive in much more squalid conditions than we
Re: Should you get tested?
It's true you can get dieases in these conditions. I got molluscum from an unclean pole...which is a skin rash. (Can be sexually transmitted as well as non-sexually transmitted).
Re: Should you get tested?
Well at the new club I'm dancing at, it's very clean (well, from what I see) & the girls don't seem like that do any extras because the club has cameras everywhere & it's against the rules (& law :p)
I'll keep the washing hands in mind. I always forget about that!! & I can't hover over a toliet; I have bad aim hehe so I put toliet paper on it
Re: Should you get tested?
I'm glad you found a new club Sexi. And I'm really glad you found Stripperweb, Threads like these remind me of what SW is all about for me: sharing information and helping each other.

I'm not a doc myself, but I do know one in real life who says the same (when I tried to verify it for her). That's two docs.
I'm not going to argue this; I'm just giving you info that you can verify yourself.
No you can't. That's just purely false.
Herpes and HPV are in your VAGINA and unless you're going all masturbatory on a toilet seat and LESS THAN A MINUTE LATER someone else is all "Gee, I think I'll rub my pussy on this toilet seat, which is rather difficult considering one leg will have to be IN the freaking toilet" then you CANNOT GET AN STD FROM A TOILET SEAT.

I do believe someone posted that she got a herpes sore on her knee, possibly from work, but that's the only time I've ever heard of such a thing. I've heard of people getting cold sores from sharing a soda can, too, but who knows. A lot of people just have herpes of some sort and don't know it.
I think other than cold/flu and skin rashes-staph or MRSA would be your only big possible worry. Keep your hands out of your mouth/nose/eyes and wash any cuts and you'll be okay.

Thats oral herpes. While transferable on genital to herpe contact, it is not transferable through toilet seats. I dunno about you but my ASS is on a toilet seat and usually full minutes to hours after someone else's is. I'm not toilet seat masturbating in someone else's vaginawater.
Re: Should you get tested?
lmao this reminds of 9th grade when a girl swore there is no way her bf cheated on her as he informed her she obtained VD from sitting on a public toilet.
