"What's one dance??"...selling tip..!
I've been using this lately and it really does work!
So i'll be talking to a guy and i ask him for a dance and he's either debating in his head if he should..or trying to tell me no...
before they say no and are at that...ummmmmmmm well... point, i'll say playfully, "come on, what's one dance? one dance never hurt anyone right..its nothing!."
and most of the times the guy will be like alll riiiightm either cuz he doesn't want to look like a cheapo who can't eevn afford one dance. or you'll really make him believe one dance isn't really a big deal to his wallet.
then you give him an awesome dance and make him stay for more!
sometimes the hardest part is just getting them up outta there seats to the dancing area.
keep in mind though, this isn't begging. It's all supposed to sound playful.

When I get the "uuuuuuummmmm well" thing I just say, "You're thinking too hard, lets go!" as I take his hand to help him up. Almost always works, in fact I usually get an enthusiastic "okay!" like he really *was* thinking too hard and having the decision made for him was a relief.

i've gotten a lot of single dances with that. i hate walking out after just one. sometimes i wonder what i'm doing wrong, but i've had similar results from really good dances to really boring ones.
the money helps, but not very much.

Yes it does work! While he's hemming and hawing I'm just like "Oh come on just one" and they say yes sometimes..when I first started dancing I wasn't very agressive and didn't try to change anyone's mind if they said no..but now guys needed to be pushed a little more and I'm pretty proud of myself that I've been getting more assertive with them..ofcourse they want one but sometimes you have to convice them a little more nowadays..which I hate but hey it's my job I guess.:) I guess it's just how he says it and deterimne his reaction..if it seems like he really isn't into you then maybe just accept the no thanks but if you can tell he is hesitant don't let him get off that easy..in some ways I think they want you to talk them into it.

yeah maybe they will really do just one..but hey, thats one more from someone that wouldn't have gone without the extra push.
Re: "What's one dance??"...selling tip..!
I find the guys who come into my club are WAAAYYY too stingy for this..
*sigh*
Maybe I'm just not pushy enough yet..
Re: "What's one dance??"...selling tip..!
^No, it's just some guys are really that cheap. ::)
Re: "What's one dance??"...selling tip..!
Being pushy has definitely helped me. Its effective high pressure sales because you put yourself in a position where its peer pressure that counts and when you're his only peer, and you're in a dominant position, they cave.
:) love it.

For real, they are. I've done this and had it work, but just as often, I've had guys say, "well if it's nothing, why don't you give it to me for free?"
Still a 50% decrease in no's is better than nothing.
Re: "What's one dance??"...selling tip..!
I use a similar version of this hustle for the men that are pussy-footing around about telling me yes or no. I just interrupt their feeble body language and hmm-ing and say, "We'll do just one. How about that? ...We'll do next song." I'd say half the time i get a yes like this. It's making up their mind, planting the idea that it's not a big decision (only one dance) and telling them when it will happen. If they don't want one, you at least get a straight answer and can move on to someone else.

gotta remember this!!

This pairs really well with either holding out your hand for him to grab and standing up, or grabbing his hand and giving him a (very gently) tug.
Re: "What's one dance??"...selling tip..!
Yea, I will also like to add that the "what's one dance" liner has been working in my favor as well. I have noticed that the men who want to soak up and waste my time usually come clean and admit they dont' want a dance *just wanna hang out* (barf) when I give them the "what's one dance" line...
So yea, IMO it definately separates the spenders from the wasters...
