Re: audition tomorrow, like my first school dance
Hey good luck! I'm sure you'll get it ;D
Re: audition tomorrow, like my first school dance
Wow, I like that comparison. That's EXACTLY how I feel about auditioning and you're right, we've all suffered through worse anxiety for longer periods of time. What's 3 min on stage compared to years of the awkward social gauntlet that is middle school. It's just a job interview (albeit a NAKED job interview) after all. I feel better now too, thanks and good luck! :)
Re: audition tomorrow, like my first school dance
I did it! I auditioned and i got the job!
I wasn't too nervous until i actually i stepped in the building, it's funny- it's a bright teal green box amongst all these broken down mill buildings and a steelyard. The house mom took me down to the locker room to get dressed, and then i got on stage and danced for a couple of minutes, while talking to a really nice customer at the tip rail. He gave me some tips (advice) and then some tips (cash) as well, lol, and he told me I was very pretty. But he also told me i need to get a haircut :3dglasses
I didn't expect to be shaking in my heels, but, it wasnt too bad at all! So far the girls i met are easy-going, one of them chatted with me and tipped me on stage, and another complimented me on my "outfit." It was so weird, and also, i took off my glasses; On the plus side everything passed all blurry, quickly, but on the down side I don't know how the people i met looked like at all.
Afterwards, i felt really good and way less shy/awkward about making eye contact or talking to strangers at the supermarket.
Ok, first day is on Thursday, from 11am-6pm!
The next big thing: dealing with my man. :disguise:
