Can you send them to my house when they're done, please?
Me too!!!
haha, mine came yesterday! she comes twice a week :)
Yep i have one to my house is always a mess when they come. I try to straighten before they get here but its never that great. They come bi weekly for me sometimes weekly.
I set it up bi-weekly. This first cleaning is 2 women - 5 hours. $415!
My husband almost shit his pants when I said how much it is. Im sure I could have gotten cheaper but I went through MerryMaids since theyre background checked, trained, etc. I just felt safer that way - rather than some ind. person coming through my house. Dunno...
But after that it will be 2 women - 1.5 hours and $135.
My house is going to SHINE!
Dude, I totally cleaned my house yesterday - lol... everything picked up and put away. They dont pick up the house - they do the deep cleaning- bathrooms, blinds, oven, dust, baseboards, etc...
haha i didnt even realize i typed twice a week... i meant twice a month!
mine is amazing. she's my mom's cleaning lady, too. she only charges me $40! she doesnt do laundry (which i'm ok with and wouldnt want someone doing) but she takes out the trash, cleans my whole apt, makes my bed, does my dishes.. and i trust her bc she's my mom's and my mom's best friend's maid too!
hahah britt when i read you had maids twice a week i just thought you were realy fancy lol
For $40 Id have them come twice a week! lol...
I'm about to go buy some rubber gloves and cheap toothbrushes. My toilet is DISGUSTING and I can't afford no damn maids.
Maybe I'll just sell my services. Good thing I'm not squeamish. LOL
Its been 2 1/2 hours and theyre still cleaning upstairs...
Ah shit - I hear them talking.. they must have found the kids bathroom....
Don't worry about it. That's why your paying them over $400.
Right thats it, I want a maid. I can't really afford it but the messy house is driving me crazy and I just hate cleaning. Googling maids now.
Are there any maid services that actually pick up your stuff? That would be sweet. I've been "spring cleaning" for about 6 months now :O
Some smaller companies will if you pay well. It's really hard for them though, because they don't know where to put anything.
I've been thinking about it just to get someone to wash the walls and do the floors. 4 kids=filthy walls, seriously. I'm pretty frugal though and don't know if I can justify the expense. I'll probably just stock up on magic erasers and make the kids do it.
Yup. I understand not one word of spanish. I know theyre talking about how dirty I am...
I tipped them all the cash I had... $30. I feel pathetic... thats like 7% - split between the two of them - 3.5% each. Ugh. :-[ But what was I supposed to do?! I forgot I had no cash on me! She seemed very happy - Im going to guess lots of people dont tip at all. I still feel cheap tho.
My house sparkles now! Clean walls, baseboards - the FANS!!!! Amazing.
And then I went and had my car washed - so purty.
And then I cleaned up the garage.
Now Im going to organize my closet... eventually. Maybe Ill save that so I have something to do tomorrow.
Its worth it. Its soooooo worth it! Just to do walls I bet you can hire someone for like $100... depending on the size of the house.
Careful with those magic erasers. They took the paint right off my wall (where flat paint was) you may be ok with the bathrooms and kitchen.
I wish i wasnt weird about someone coming in and cleaning. I get weird about it...I dont want a stranger to know how dirty i am, and what the inside of my house looks like!!
mine come tomorrow. Best hundred bucks ever
I'm too frugal for a maid as well. That and I'm very particular about what gets cleaned with which cleaner lol. Mr. Christopher, the best way to clean your walls (and it takes no time at all) is to get a rectangular sponge mop, fill up a mop bucket with Mr Clean & warm water (or whatever you choose) and just go up and down the walls like you would a floor. I had a problem with soot from the fireplace in a house I used to live in when I discovered how easy it was to clean them.
Okay, so I get home...and my place is not cleaned...NOW I find out that my maids are at Audreys place! This will not stand...I am going to go write a letter...to...someone...:soapbox:
