Just curious, where do you work? I just started in midtown.
i need a nyc tutor..
sorry to jack, im no help
Tutor? lol
The best NYC advice you can get is start at the top and work down. Try PEC and Hustler, then Flashdancers & Ricks. NY Dolls is dead bc its in the financial district. Scores is obv dead.
I heard there are hiring freezes at Flash though, and I'm sure they can't be the only club.
I'm going to audition on Wed for the day shift. Nights are becoming too inconvenient. Any advice? Is that where you work, Aubrey? I know some girls who worked there last year during the day and said there is a very strong lunch and after work crowd. Also, how often does a girl have to go on stage there during the day?
Anyone wanna come???;)
I don't want to try Flashdancers during the day b/c I cocktail waitressed there previously and don't really like what I saw.
Julie, no I work somewhere else but I'm thinking about auditioning at Ricks... I haven't really been making the amount I have made elsewhere and I'm pretty sure its bc of the club.
I worked at Flash as a waitress too and left 3 weeks later. Its def not the place for me...
I spoke to one of the ex-managers about the day shift tonight, and he said that the quality of the customers during the day is very high - nice house fee, too. Lunch and right after working hours (Happy Hour) are busy times, and there are VIPs bought frequently during the day, which was great news... and surprising, too!
I just came back from NYC yesterday and did fanfuckintastic at Hustler! The kind of money that temps me to move back to NYC but I swear I just got lucky plus I worked my ass off. Careful with the solicitations, they're rapant, but if you know how to charm them, they will stop and tip you well for being you.
^^^
Damn underage-ness! :(
How was the audition process? Did you call/email ahead with pics first? I worked my first day there today, but get this, and maybe it was cuz it was only my 1st day and I don't have a clientele yet, but: I came in at 11am and left at 10pm in order to make enough $ to justify going home. Wasn't TERRIBLE $, but still wasn't ENOUGH for 11 hrs.
Also, at Hustler, what are the shifts? Tip out?
Thanks, Kiki :-*
The Flash family, and Ricks didn't seem to care.
Gettin' better...
I had an awe$$$ome Memorial Day. Weird, huh?
^^^^ How's the dayshift treating ya?
I like the day shift so far, even though I've only worked 2 days. I have stayed later than I had to both days... so I did one 10 hour shift and one 11 hour shift. Memorial Day was fun because it wasn't too crowded and everyone was very relaxed... though it seemed like I was on stage constantly toward the end of the night. But, it was cool because people were actually tipping well while I was up there. I also did 3 VIPs, so it was a great day... with really sore feet.
TOTALLY OFF TOPIC - but I want some opinions, please:
My bf asked me where the guys put the $ when I'm tipped on stage, so I told him that I think it's fun to offer the side of my g-string. He said that I was tacky for that! But I told him I thought it was cute.
Is that true? Is that tasteless, girls?
ya as long as you don't keep the money in your thong and keep dancing like that, i think that looks tacky. i'll take the money in the side of my thong sometimes on stage and then take it out and put it in the corner, only one girl on stage at a time so no confusion.
garter's always a good move.
All of the girls at my club (Midtown Manhattan) and every other club I've worked in take tips in their thong. Or if handed a tip, they put it in their thong. I don't think its tacky at all to keep dancing with tips in your thong.
^^^ Yeah cuz doesn't it encourage/inspire other guys to tip, as well, since some claim to be so shy about approaching the stage?
i guess it all depends on the club. stage is really just advertising at my club, no one expects to make any money off of it.
i wouldn't want guys getting the impression that i just dance on stage and get tipped and am satisfied with that at all. They need to know i "mostly do VIPs cause they're SOO fun and make me really happy!":-*
but so i take it back, money left in thong not always tacky, depends on the setting and however you feel about it. :)
so, kiki, when you get this,
I have heard that they are very picky about who they hire at Hustler. I've heard pretty hot girls say that they were rejected.
What do you think? WHat has been your experience with the audition? And do they have certain standards like; certain boob size, not too thin, partial to blondes, etc.?:medusa:
A couple months ago, I was all revved up and ready to make my debut, but now I am shrinking into "I don't have implants" land. LOL, what a cruel land!
I would still really like to try it out, probably not permanently, but just for the experience. OHHHHH - And I gotta get on that pole and twirl, twirl, twirl myself into, "kay, now I feel those drinks!" :trip: :trip:
They have such a cool pole that moves so easily with your body.
Hey Julie!
Definitely go audition! I've seen girls of all sorts get hired. They try to keep it "classy", so bring a gown, nice stillettos and cover any big tats. Don't go nuts on the hair and makeup, again, keep it "classy". The spinning two story pole is fun too if you know how to work it. Good luck hun! See ya soon!
