I called the club i want to work at...
and asked if they were hiring, and the lady said she thinks they're always hiring dancers
so I asked how it worked and she told me to call back when the DJ gets there..and she said usually u just go in and talk to the DJ and if he likes you you can start working
I just had a few questions...
is it common for DJ's to do the hiring??
and how should I look when I go talk to him? (what kind of clothes, make up, hair)
thanks :)
Re: I called the club i want to work at...
I have NEVER heard of the DJ doing the hiring. Maybe he's the general manager as well or something. Dress sexy, do your hair, and makeup as though you were going out.
Re: I called the club i want to work at...
I've worked in plenty of clubs where I was auditioned by the DJ and hired by the manager. You may want to even bring a costume in case the DJ wants to audition you. A lot of the time, DJ's will operate as a sort of shift manager or assistant manager. Be polite to him, its just like going to any job interview.

I've been auditioned by the DJ at busy or upscale clubs. Be ready to dance! Hair, make-up, cute/sexy outfit, big smile, stripper shoes, excitement and a costume are in order! :D
P.S. Bring a few pairs of under wear to make sure you have what is regulation at the club. Full bottoms, g-string, t-bar, ect. Good luck!

Definitely do your make up and hair before you go. Look super hot, wear clothing that shows off your body and bring an outfit. When I've gone, they've thrown me up on stage to audition.
The DJ at my home club was the manager at one point so I'm sure they'd trust him with the hiring, or he may also be a manager. Also, when you go to audition he'll be the one announcing you and putting you on stage so maybe he's just supposed to get your information and get you on stage so the manager can watch you without having to deal with the incidentals.

I've been auditioned by the DJ's...but hired only by managers. Policies differ by club though...
