No wonder he was bullied!
Cause he's got a beautiful voice? or because people actually have no idea what actual talent is? or is it because people are so used to hearing crap they are threatened by something that has any type of value? why?
All of the above :)
Oh I swear with you at times I have no idea what is going to be said lol I thought you were going to be a smart ass, I swear to God I did lol sorry if I seemed defensive. Cause this kid is going to make so far those bullies will be kicking themselves in the ass repeating "damn it I wish I had an ounce of what he has"
Awesome. Thanks for the positive story.
Amazing - that's a future opera star in the making if he's guided properly!
I've seen that clip before. I cried the last time I saw it and I'm crying now. What a brave, talented boy. It takes alot of guts at that age to stand up for yourself and to stand up for what you believe in, I hope he goes far.
Me too polekitten, me too.
And at 13, just, I'm just so glad he is following his dreams, lot of people just let their dreams go for fear and it's so sad to see, but this kid I am soooo rooting for him. I wish him the best and I have no clue who he is!
Just warms the heart, when at times you feel the world is cold and ugly a bit of beauty can brighten ones day.
I can see why he was bullied. It's not like 13-year-olds appreciate that kind of music, and even if they did, let's face it--kids don't really even need a reason to bully someone. But that kid is going to grow up and have an awesome career if he can get someone to guide him who will give him some confidence.
wow, i don't even like that kind of music...but he had me in tears! that was fantastic!!!
i just wonder what will happen when his voice changes??? do you think he'll just bring it down and octave? or do you think he can stay that high?
We were just talking about this at the bar the other night... this was like, season 2 that the boy came on... there was an older guy on season 1 that sung opera and knocked em out of their socks too... been trying to find it on youtube as well... always nice to see Simon slack jawed.
Here you go, I think this is what your looking for

This one makes me cry too, this guy actually won.
wow his voice gave me goosebumps....
awee he was so sad looking, gave me goose bumps
Tough call. He has an astounding voice, but those bullies may have done their work and it could be too late. All the talent and skill in the world won't get you anywhere without the confidence to go for it.
Kids are evil, sociopathic opportunists who mercilessly tease others simply to detract negative attention to themselves. The pack mentality and the need to fit in make it even worse. As long as he keeps that up and doesn't let the bastards get him down, he'll be victorious eventually. The poor kid is in a stage of life when his peers hate anything different or superior to them.
Holy shit, Simon Cowell giving support and consolation!? I'm going to look for the 4 horsemen.
