Once again, another reminder not to leave outrageous amounts of cash in your purse...
So, as you may know, it was my first night at my new club on Saturday :) A great night overall, but I was too lazy to type out what drama happened at the end of the night! Besides, it didn't fit with my post of happiness ;)
So its the end of the night. We're all up in the DR getting ready to go home, when this chick starts hysterically crying. Bear with me....
Chick: "OMG....SOMEONE STOLE $800 OUT OF MY PURSE!"
Friend: "What?! When was the last time you saw it?!"
C: "It was in here about an hour ago"
F: "Why did you put your money in your purse instead of on you?"
C: "Oh....it wasn't from tonight. It was from last night!"
Everyone in the room: "So why the fuck didn't you put it in your car or leave it at home, or keep it on you anyway?"
C: "Because I TRUST everyone here!"
Ughhhhhhhhhhh.
My first thought was, great, they probably fucking think its me since I'm the new girl. But in all actuality, I've never stolen anything in my life except a curling iron.
So we all had to stay an hour longer, waiting for this chick to find her shit. Nobody searched our bags, not that that would have done anything since we all had a lot of money on us. Seriously though. How stupid can somebody be? Its like, she almost deserve to have that taken from her, just for being so idiotic. If it meant that much, why the hell wouldn't she keep it on her??!

Poor girl just paid a stupid tax. Call it tuition for one of life's little lessons.
-
Re: Once again, another reminder not to leave outrageous amounts of cash in your purs
Yeah it sucks, but I can't feel but so sorry for her if she's dumb enough to leave it lying around the DR.
-
Re: Once again, another reminder not to leave outrageous amounts of cash in your purs
oh my gosh..i really don't feel sorry for someone who leaves 800$ lying around... thats really idiotic.
-
Re: Once again, another reminder not to leave outrageous amounts of cash in your purs
OOh cutey, where are you working now?
-
Re: Once again, another reminder not to leave outrageous amounts of cash in your purs
That sucks for her, but could have easily been prevented
-
Re: Once again, another reminder not to leave outrageous amounts of cash in your purs
I hate that shit. Gar!
Was she new to the business?
We had a klepto at my club for a while. We all knew who it was, so we would get into her locker and take our stuff back. Everyone suddenly had all their shit back when the girl got fined a few thousand dollars for possibly soliciting and quit without cleaning out her locker.

Re: Once again, another reminder not to leave outrageous amounts of cash in your purs
Man, that sucks.. but what a dumbass. Did she get her money back or not? Maybe now she'll learn what a bank is for, or at least a safe place at home.
-
Re: Once again, another reminder not to leave outrageous amounts of cash in your purs
I trust all the girls I work with, I'll share drinks with them or anything they need. They're great girls...but I still put a lock on my shit. Just because, money makes people do things they might not normally do like... ummm take it!
And you stole a curling iron?! You naughty girl you! That was probably worth 20 bucks! lol
-
Re: Once again, another reminder not to leave outrageous amounts of cash in your purs
She didn't get the money back! There were a couple girls who snuck out before the "lockdown" in the DR....so I'm guessing it was one of them. I don't know what they were trying to accomplsih by keeping us all there
And yeah I stole a curling iron}:D .....it actually belonged to my club, not a specific dancer. Its seriously the best curling iron in the world, but has no name on it so I'd never be able to find it online. You can even set the temperature up to 430! I know someone else would have stole it if I didn't because its so great. Ahh now I feel really guilty though

Wait, it was the club's? Oh that's absolutely understandable then. It's a management irritation tax... I would steal anything I could from the club I work at (and for the most part I like them!) but they don't give us anything but broken chairs. :(

Umm, no, she did NOT deserve to have her money stolen out of her purse. Yes she messed up and shouldn't have done that, but it does not change the fact that somebody flat out STOLE out of her PURSE!! Geese, way to blame the victim. How would you feel if you made a stupid mistake, which we all did, ended up getting hurt and then everybody blamed it on you?

Re: Once again, another reminder not to leave outrageous amounts of cash in your purs
I mean, I don't literally mean she deserved to have her money stolen. Yes I make dumb mistakes, but I just don't see how she could KNOWINGLY leave $800 in her purse in a place where there are no lockers and not think it might get stolen.

Re: Once again, another reminder not to leave outrageous amounts of cash in your purs
^^If I left $800 out in a strip club dressing room all night I would deserve all the shit you guys could give me.

Re: Once again, another reminder not to leave outrageous amounts of cash in your purs
My manager reckons he'd be a millionare if he got a dollar for everytime a dancer has freaked over something being stolen only to find they misplaced it whilst drunk. He refuses to go through security until they have pulled everything out of thier bag and looked through the whole change room first (our changeroom is usually scattered with bags and shoes and stuff everywhere). Most of the time a "stolen" item is only misplaced.
Having said that, one night when there were only a handful of dancers working some of the girls had thier purses cleaned out. They were all horrorfied to think it was one of them who did it since it is a fairly close knit club. When the club looked at the security images they discovered a male customer had walked into the change room and rummaged through all the purses!!!!
We have had female customers coming into the changerooms too.
We also get dancers who vanish after only one night.
Bar staff also come in to freshen up.
I wouldn't consider anything to be safe in the changeroom. I have always padlocked my bag, though it wouldn't stop anyone from taking my whole bag. Unless there's some sort of security to screen who comes into the changeroom you can't even narrow down the suspects when something goes missing.

Wow...I'm just amazed at the fact that management cares AT ALL.
I am used to working at clubs where, if this happens to you, the most you'll get from management is a shrug.
I guess things are different from state to state/city to city....but here in AZ your are just flat out fucked.
I hear girls trying to complain to management all the time about lost money/shoes/etc/ and they just dont' care at all.

I've seen it happen before. At one club, we closed at 4 a.m. That night I didn't get home until well after 8 a.m. They kept everyone there until the money "showed" up in the bathroom. Yes, they did search everyones bags, lockers, makeup boxes and everything else.

I agree with you cutey. She didn't deserve it but it seems almost like she made up the story. Its hard to believe someone could be that stupid.

Re: Once again, another reminder not to leave outrageous amounts of cash in your purs
there's a girl at my club who always bitches about stuff being stolen or money disappearing, usually when several of her friends and a new girl are within earshot. i'm not in much, so for my first few months there, i got the "new girl" shit from them.
not saying that's what happened, but it's what first came to mind. i've taken money to work with me before, but if something happened to it, i'd know damn well it was my fault for being stupid.

Re: Once again, another reminder not to leave outrageous amounts of cash in your purs
Yeah, I feel paranoid carrying money around at the end of a night. Leaving it in the dressing room? ....geesh. I don't worry too much about the security of my clothes and makeup, but then that's because I bring cheap shit. Heh.
-
Re: Once again, another reminder not to leave outrageous amounts of cash in your purs
Nobody deserves to be disrespected like that, but to leave $800 in a DR with no lockers is simply irresponsible. I hope she learns from this...lock yer shit up, because oftentimes there are wolves in sheep's clothing...

Cutey! You were there on Saturday?! I was sick but I'll be there this weekend! Let me know when you come in. My stage name is Dawn. U will know me when you see me. I'm the only other black girl there besides Tiffany. I was told about the whole lock down situation last nigt, and that was my first question....why wouldn't she have kept it in her car? I trust everybody there too but I wouldn't leave $5 in the DR if it meant anything to me. I heard they kept everybody until 3. Let me know if we r gonna do the bouncing from club to club together. PM me!

Re: Once again, another reminder not to leave outrageous amounts of cash in your purs
^Hahahaha I kept looking at Tiffany funny and winking at her thinking it was you...she probably thinks I'm a fucken freak LOL. I was like "hey don't you know me?" hahahahhaha
