differences between solo escort and agency escort?
hey.
so i might be working for an escort agency soon, or at least it is beginning to look that way and all. i have been doing solo session work for years now but i have never done any agency work and have never known any women who have worked for an agency before.
what can i expect as far as working for an agency goes? like, logistically and stuff?
Re: differences between solo escort and agency escort?
Every agency is a little different but the basic arrangement should be this: The agency promotes you, books your appointments, SCREENS your appointments and arranges for in call locations. In exchange for this service they charge you a fee.
In a perfect world working for an agency enables you to go in, make you money and leave without having to worry about any of the details involved in running the business side of things.
The gray area revolves around things like the amount of the fee, who pays for the room, how busy they keep you etc.

You forgot to mention that the usual split is 60/40 i.e. the agency collects 40% of the hourly fee not including any tips. Some insist you contribute to the cost of the room for incall. Some do screen and check references. Many don't.
Re: differences between solo escort and agency escort?
Did you read my entire post Eric? I didn't "forget" to mention anything. The split and the room contribution are part of the gray area that she would need to get straight with the agency. This varies quite a bit from city to city and region to region. In Boston the splits are, quite frankly, not as high as what you mentioned. It's more like a third. Some agencies pay for the room, some don't and some split it.
The screening issue is a big one. As you said, many don't screen much if at all. A lot of indie girls will not accept references on a guy from an agency for just this reason.
Re: differences between solo escort and agency escort?
You should ask smartcookie. I think there are "good" agencies, but I think there are a lot that don't screen at all and don't care what kind of situations they put you in.
Re: differences between solo escort and agency escort?
I have worked in escoritng before, and It was the worst desission I ever made for myself.
The agencies treated me like shit, and I wasn't getting decent clients regardless of their so called screening proccess.
The only resources I know for escorting is TERB.ca hotbabes.to and also escortblogs.com
There is many others out there, but good luck if you choose to go into that field. I just find that one the most risky at all of the careers/jobs in the sex trade industry.
Looks at all the pros and cons, even the mental health risk and phsychial health risk.
Re: differences between solo escort and agency escort?
From what I've seen and heard; the only way it really "works" is to be an Indy and be picky and choosy about whom to see. Agencies that REALLY screen are few and far between and most of those are low volume and high priced.

I am already in the field and have been for a good number of years. I have just never worked for an agency nor have I known anyone who has so I was asking what it is like. As for the physical health risks, that is certainly something I have always always always taken into consideration. Not so much with the mental health risks though. I just seem to be emotionally wired for the job and it really does not seem to mess with me. Never left a session without a genuine smile on my face, unless of course the guy was a jerk or tried to get away with not paying. In which case I get grumblie after setting a few things straight, but a drink or two usually takes care of that mood right quick.
I do actually enjoy the job quite a lot.
;D
Sounds like I have some questions to run through with this particular agency first though.
Re: differences between solo escort and agency escort?
I work through an agency, and definitely felt more comfortable that way. Luckily, I have an agency where I trust all the girls who book the calls to screen them properly, and to have my back the whole time, and all the drivers to be ready to go if I need help.
That said, I've also interviewed places where they don't keep track of clients (even the bad ones!), consider drivers optional, and expect you to do the full shebang for $90!! No thanks...
The way they seem to run (depending on where you go, of course) is that the booker books you a call, checks it (the most important part for not only your safety but to save you time in the long run in case it's fake), driver takes you, you pay the agency their fee at the end. You call when you get there and when you leave to let them know you're okay, drivers are around if you have problems (hopefully!). I usually ask to be called a few times during my session, because you never know when things will turn, but that's just me and it depends on how you operate.
The one thing a lot of independent girls who join agencies seem to have a problem with (aside from splitting the money!!) is that a lot of the time, you can't turn down calls, so you aren't always getting the most charming of gentlemen. But again, sorta depends how you operate, because the way I do my sessions I work off of tips so if I'm not comfortable with a client, I just don't go into it. The girls who book themselves out as full service sometimes regret it?
Also some agencies require you to be full service and will often side with the client if there's a problem, which I don't like.
It's really all about finding the right fit for you though, and asking lots of questions!!

Working through an agency can be a great experience as long as you choose the right one. I have two regular ladies that I have been seeing for about three years now. At various times both have worked either as indie or as agency ladies. There are advantages and disadvantages to both and their decisions to work one way or the other revolve around their priorities at a particular time.
Re: differences between solo escort and agency escort?
I just want to add that with agencies you have to give them a cut. On top of that they do take a copy of your ID (most if not all) and that's a paper trail if they ever get busted.

exactly....an agency is like a group of people that basically work as a pimp. sorry to be blunt but it boils down to that. there's craigslist, the village voice etc. with patience you can do it by yourself. it is easier if you're in an area with easy transportation though
