Re: advice i gave my sister
Your sister is lucky to have such a great mentor who actually cares!

I thought someone would ask me i make a rule that i never take it apon myself to sit down any where in the dressing room before i ask if its okay i have learned from experince that sittying wrong spot can make a bad first impression and cause undo drama.

Excellent advice.
Tell her to watch the other dancers for cues as to the best hustle for that club and that night.
Re: advice i gave my sister
Tell her the club is not the place to make friends.

I agree on this, based on a personal experience.
It was at my first club (which was, BTW, super political and catty) sat down in a chair next to someone's bag. The girl came in, just stood there and looked at me (I didn't get it, ya know, newbie ignorance) and after I didn't move she goes "You're in my spot. That's my spot. It's been my spot for 9 years so get OUT"
After some research it turns out she had been using that same spot and chair for 9 years!!!!
We actually ended up becoming buds and exchanging numbers later, but I'll never forget that humility and embarassment.
Re: advice i gave my sister
All sounds good to me. :)
Re: advice i gave my sister
Do not go OTC with custies, no matter how much they offer to pay. Keep business ITC.
Don't give out personal info of yourself or other dancers.
Don't discuss other dancers. Only say positive things, if you decide to say anything at all.
Beware of girls who seem too nice. Sometimes they'll want something from you or they will stab you in the back.
Mind your own business and stay positive.
Walk away if a guy is an asshole.
Re: advice i gave my sister
Why dont you give her the link to stripperweb?
Re: advice i gave my sister
Sometimes its just not your night. I know this doesn't seem like good advice but it took me a long time to learn. We all have freakishly bad nights for no apparent reason and I used to get so upset, trying to analize where I had gone wrong and why everyone was making money but me. Now I can just shrug it off and think, tomorrow will be better.
Re: advice i gave my sister
Just thought of another one!
Pay attention to the rules, even if it seems no one else is. When you go to a new club it might seem that everyone is breaking the rules here there and everywhere but as a newbie its best to stick to what you've been told until you've been there a while and have learnt which rules can be bent and which can't. Favourites in a club can get away with much more than newbies and if you follow her lead you might find yourself without a job.
Also, be wary of other dancers. Its not unknown for a jealous dancer to lead a newbie astray to stop her from making money or even get her sacked.
Re: advice i gave my sister
Do not try to be buddy buddy with the girls. Do not ask to borrow anything or let any girls borrow any clothes from you.
Re: advice i gave my sister
Hmm. Some PGH advice:
Avoid Club Erotica. Drama and cut-throating bitches. A serious pit of vipers.
Avoid Silky's. Has been targeted in the past numerous times for prostitution.
She can get clothing at The Outer Skin, which has multiple locations (tell her to look in the Go-Go!) Expensive, but some of the clothing I cannot find on the net.
The Go-Go is an interesting read, and I keep up with it.

Make money, not friends.
Re: advice i gave my sister
Sure would have been nice to have had someone on the inside that I could have trusted when I started. She is lucky to have you.
Re: advice i gave my sister
this is a good one......don't tell your personal business to other girls.. it could come back to haunt you.
Re: advice i gave my sister
Lock up your stuff
Dont keep all your money on you

Don't date coworkers.
The customer isn't always right.
Never ever do anything you don't feel comfortable with.
Always have a bouncer walk you to your car.
