Hi I'm new here and this is my first post ever. I have training in hair and nails and makeup and hope this is helpful.
You have two options for both. The concept of the two is the same)
(1) Use a thickening leave in conditioner on damp hair -not soaking wet/preferably towel dried.
(2) Section off hair using hair rollers-bigger in the back and smaller to the front of head.
(3)After putting the rollers in hair spritz lightly with volumizing hair spray.
(4) You can leave the rollers in your hair overnight or go under a dryer (it's an invaluable investment) until hair is completely dry.
(5)After removing the rollers rub in a small amount of shine serum.
(6) Use a rat tail (long thin) comb to tease the roots of the hair and as the ladies on the post said combing backward and pin with bobby pins.
(7)Use a flat iron to smooth ends and seal in any moisture.
(8) Spritz lightly again w/ hair spray.
Lol i know this seems really time consuming but it should take about 20 mins if you use hair rollers. :D
Option 2 and my favorite b/c teasing and hair spray is really drying on hair. If you use option 1 please please use a deep conditioner the next day.
Use Clip In 1 piece Human Hair Extension (I like the ones by Easi Volume) on the crown of head of dry hair (you can blow dry and then clip these in)
only teasing the hair in front to create side bangs. I also use the highlights by Easilites when I want this hairstyle with a little bit of color.
Sorry if it is long winded but I hope this makes it easier to follow.
