Older Rock...
Well Im not dancing yet, but Im always thinking of songs I would dance too. I love all types of music, but some genres I would love to dance to would be somewhat older rock such as White Snake's "Here I go Again"! I have checked out some dance clubs and listened to their selections and some of the song choices don't seem so danceable IMO. Do you think customers would like songs such as these?
Thanks for any insight!

Re: Older Rock...
And here when I saw the thread title I thought you meant Carl Perkins, LOL! I'm getting old.
Customers love 70's and 80's rock. Most of the good customers were in their teens and twenties back then, and they like feeling young and cool again.

Re: Older Rock...
I dance to Tom Petty, Joe Walsh, Eagles..and the older guys love it. Love love it even more when I sing the words. They talk about how much they love this song and they can't believe I even know it...it works.

Re: Older Rock...
I don't hear much classic rock at work and we don't get to pick our music but I think I could rock the Rolling Stones with the right crowd :).
I am quickly learning to like what every music the crowd likes. A happy crowd tends to equal better tips which equals a happy me LOL!

Re: Older Rock...
We get to pick our music, I love dancing to 80's hair bands. Girls girls girls, smokin in the boys room- all of the cliche stripper stage songs. Don't underestimate their ability to draw attention to the stage, they will. I love them so they make me feel good-then I'm smiling and having fun on stage which gets me more money :-)

Re: Older Rock...
I love to dance to old rock especially during the day when the crowd is older. Sometimes, they are impressed that you know "their" music.
The Doors, ACDC, Hendrix, Tom Petty, Credence Clearwater, Led Zepplin, Billy Idol, Janis, could go on and on. :party2:
I also find that a lot of the well known songs from these artists to be super sexy in an atypical way. They also give you a chance to be more creative with your movements, I find. :boobies:
Anyone have any FAVORITES from these bands that they find fun to dance to?

I love you people, I'm not alone anymore!

Re: Older Rock...
Yes, seriously if I had been born sooner, dancing in the late 80's and 90's would have been soooo much more fun I think!

Re: Older Rock...
I dance to 80's hairbands too! However, "Here I go again" starts out waaaay too slow in my opinion. Then again, we don't have a pole onstage so the song could be danced to alot smoother if we had one.

Re: Older Rock...
^If you get the single version off Whitesnake's Greatest Hits it starts right in, without the long slow cheesy intro.
