photo scanner
I am wondering if any of the techies can tell me of a decent but cheap photo scanner. I have 3 boxes of photos. I'm thinking if I scan them to disks they will be lighter and take up less space.
Sure I could go to best buy and ask, but I want to have an idea before I go in and they attempt to just sell me something.
I don't need it to print- just scan.
I could go to the local camera store, but for the amount of photos I have it will cost a ton of $.

Re: photo scanner
Here's a little trick I've used but it might be annoying with how many photos you have to scan.....
Take a digital photo of your photo! If you have a tripod or some sort of rig where you can just change out the photos you can do it fairly quickly and won't have to buy anything :)
As for what you're actually going to use the scanner for you can probably get away with buying the cheapest one they have.
