and who is the wealthiest person you have met?
As I know personally or have met?
Know personally - my uncle.
Know of - probably the surgeon who did my BA and rhinoplasty hehe.
donnie diamond
i know a couple club regulars who have a few million.
know or know of?
My ex has a couple of mil in the bank now :( damn! Shoulda called him back :P
That I know (and dated)
Cal Worthington (his dog Spot wasnt there)
Course this vid is OLD... he was really really old when we went on those few dates. If I knew then what I know now Id be married to this man.
My cousin is the wealthiest person I personally know.
She is an amazingly brilliant, self-made multi-millionaire. She has a gorgeous home that is currently worth about $1.8mil and she also has a summer home in FL with about $4mil. She and her family travel all over the world several times a year, and she takes all of her full-time employees (and their spouse) on vacation about once every couple years and pays all expenses. Last time, she took them to Vegas for a week, including all the shows etc.
I unfortunately, see none of her money nor do I ever benefit from it. Which is fine by me, I would never in a million years ask for it or expect it. She's an amazing person, very philanthropic, very smart, very caring.
Moneywise?? Probably my dad lol, he is currently swanning around europe on a bike tour as I sit here biting my fingernails worrying about next months rent. But he is also the poorest man i know as well, he hasnt even met one of his granddaughters. Bet he doesnt even know her name!
I don't know anyone even close to weathly.
The wealthiest person I know of is a guy my boyfriend deals to ( casino card dealer) You know the flashy light stuff, like pins or necklaces
this dude owns the company in japan that makes them or something....he's worth several billion dollars......anyway. he is a gay man and got HIV. he liquidated his company, and goes to the casino and drops millions at one sitting in gambling..he is trying to spend all his money before he dies...
Last year, he alone contributed to 21% of the casino's total income for the year. ( a very large strip casino) 21% is a hell of a lot!!
Anyway...that's the wealthiest person I know of.
A family friend made millions upon millions during the dotcom boom.
I've met both the guys who started google, and I think they each have a little over a billion.
wow, a real "Leaving Las Vegas"! that's so sad. :(
i know heavy hitters but they've all got their heads up their asses imho. 99% are like flick's dad situation.
very few put life and family first. there's a couple but it usually takes a brush with death, either of a loved one or their own face-to-face.
I have no idea what the net worth of my friends and family are. None. I know some obviously have more money than others (big house, fancy cars, nice vacations etc.). But it never dawned on me ask them what is on their tax return.;D
I doubt that anyone I know is worth billions. But then again, sometimes it is hard to tell the uber-rich from the simply wealthy anymore.
Hmmm...I'm from bumfuck VA..lol....so I guess the wealthiest person I personally know would be Allen Iverson.
I never ask! Apparently my grandmother is pretty well set up, but who knows what that means. She lives frugally, but was rocking the real estate in the 80s/90s.
I know a guy who renovates lofts/townhouses into fantastico awesome places, but who knows how much of that he sees.
I'd assume one of my regs, but I don't really ask people personal questions, especially about their financials. But I have some custy's who throw the money around pretty liberally.
The wealthiest person I know personally (and biblically hehe) is a friend of mine who is independantly wealthy...aaahhh....Well, we briefly dated but then I decided to dump him (nice move huh!! Aahh to be 22 again...) we still talk though...
Dancing in Vegas, I have MET many many guys worth millions and millions and millions, but I hardly would say I "know them"
I've met hundreds of self proclaimed "millionaires" in the club. They are usually the ones who try to waste hours of my time trying to get me to see them outside the club. They are also the ones who never manage to give me anything more than the occasional drink, I guess that's how they became millionaires (sarcasm).
OMG that's awesome!!! I totally get his commercials stuck in my head. I take it you DID "go see Cal".
I'm not like friends with them but I know the Thornton's. I have no clue how much they're worth but when you have a local hospital and winery named after you, I can bet you're doing ok. And Mrs. Thornton has a rock on her finger that's probably worth a mansion or two.
As ironic as it sounds, my auto mechanic is the wealthiest person I know. He's a freelancer and answers to nobody but himself, takes a vacation whenever he wants, inherited a house which his neighbor is waiting to buy in order to make a bigger backyard, has a lakeside vacation home which is also inherited, makes big bucks fixing boat motors for a country club, has all of his medical needs covered by the VA, he's single and without kids so his money and time are his own, and he does a lot of favors for the people in his life. Monetarily, he's considered middle class, but he's wealthy in the aspect that he's his own boss, he does what he wants, he's financially independent, and he loves what he does. He's a lot richer than his yuppie customers who make six figures yet are piled higher deeper in their lifestyles.
Well, the first person I can think of off the top of my head is this total bitch my boyfriend does work for. She screws people over constantly for her gain and seems like a rotten fucking person who only cares about money. Figures.
by hatshepshut's standard the richest person i know is the wonderfully crazy old guy who ran the horse farm near my parents' property. he sold it all off to live on 5 or 10 acres somewhere even further out. he generates his own power, he has no debt (land taxes are nothing in texas, maybe 60 dollars a month), and he literally has a pile of gold, oil and precious minerals in the backyard.
he is happy and old and nobody will take anything from him, because age hasn't ruined his aim.
i consider him nuts because i think everyone should be married, but lots of married people think that way. ;-)
My great uncle owns tons of farm land on Nebraska...I'm pretty sure he's the richest person I know, but I have no idea "what he's worth" (thats a weird saying).
Sadly I think I have it together and the most potential to make it big than anyone in my immediate family. I was asking my dad about his income for FAFSA and I couldn't believe what I heard....If I busted my ass HALF as hard as he does (he works REALLY REALLY REALLY hard) I'd make that and more in 4 months...it makes me sad.
Anyways, I hope to be the richest person I know in a few (or 10) years :)
Hell if I know. I don't know the net worth of people I meet or know.
My uncle left my aunt an estate worth over a million at least. He left this life a happy man and a winner.
I dated a man whose family was worth $20-40 million and they owned a town in Central California. NO shizzle. Respectable man too, not a yuppie douchebag.
