ummm..none. feature acts are boring. it's no wonder many of them put out to make ends meet.
I avoid clubs like the plague when there is a feature. Features attract a different kind of customer and give the club a different kind of atmosphere...not one that I care much for.
In the era of the lap dance and full contact features really have no bearing on a club's success, at least not in my area. Ownership does not seem to have figured this out as they keep trying to shove porn star wanna-be's and never-where's down our throats and inflating cover charges when they have a "feature". I am mostly a daytime customer so fortunately I can easily avoid the foolishness of watching a girl shoot golf balls out of her coochie...and the guys who want to watch that sort of thing.
In my city there is only one club still doing features I think. PT's is the lowest value club in town, I think they only occasionally have features. But I hear they draw good crowds with or without fetures and dancers make good money there.
I just don't understand how based on the priice-value realtionship.
Well said.Quote:

A club in Toronto, I don't remember the name, had a dancer that danced to some Minnie Mouse song. She wore mouse ears and had a little tail on her bottoms.
After she stripped she placed three mouse traps, the kind that spring shut, one on each nipple and one on her lower lips. She danced around like that for the entire song and at the end of the song she pulled the mouse traps off very quickly so that they made a loud snapping sound.
She was followed by a dancer that poured hot wax over her body and let the stage side customers pull the wax off.
Back in the early 90s, when the super-busty performers were at their peak, I used to stop by whatever club they were appearing to get a Polaroid or two, or maybe even a lapdance. I can't recall any particular show being more outstanding than others (other than, "Holy schnikes, those boobs are bigger than my head!"). There was one show that was kinda special, though.
One of the "Boobsey Twins" was appearing at a club in City of Industry, one I typically didn't go to. I wanted to see her 7:30 show, then head over to one of my better clubs. When I got there, I was literally the only custy in the place. 11 overweight and/or tweaker dancers, the DJ, and me. Wonderful. They descended on me like locusts, one after another, and I politely said "no" to each request to buy a dance or a drink, explaining I was there to see the feature.
A little bit later, the feature herself came out (still in civvies), sat down next to me, and asked if I was really there to see her. I said yes. She thought that was "sweet" and said, "What kind of outfit would you like me to wear?" Naturally, I told her a schoolgirl outfit. She said she didn't have that, but would a ballerina outfit do. I said absolutely, and she proceeded to change into it, come out and do her entire 4-song set just for me. I tipped her well, and when the set was done, we sat in the back of the club and chatted for a couple hours. Nice kid. It was time for her next show, more actual customers had arrived, she excused herself and I left for greener pastures.
Now, HORRIBLE feature shows, that is a helluva lot more entertaining topic. I think that should get its own thread.

I don't particularly like featured dancers, although I would really like to see Ginger Lee. But I don't mind going to clubs when there is one, because while there is a crowd at the stage, the OTHER dancers are hustling the tables really hard. I've had some of my best dances when there is a feature on stage.
MY favorite things that happen in s-c's are unscripted bits of business that catch folks off guard.
The Deja Vus are always having some contest or another. Now that summer is here, there will be 5 weeks of pure hell for Melon Fest. $7 dance from a chick too old to be the high school prep, but too young to know better, anyone?
Three I can think of:
1. A contortionist pole-dancer last month at the Hollywood.
2. Teri Weigle doing nude stage dives into the crowd at the Diamond Caberet.
3. Prince Hanalea at the Glade in Honolulu. This guy would twirl tassles attached to his butt while doing a headstand on a revolving stand.
(Don't go to gay female impersonator clubs myself, but my very strange brother-in-law insisted.)
Yeah I dont look for features either tho I have seen them. At one club in Dallas ( Caligula 21 - this was a while ago ) , a busty beauty spits ping pong balls from her hee-haw. THen she autographed the said propelled balls to those lucky enuf to catch one ( Which I did but gave the ball away-not wanting to explain to the wife how I came upon an autographed pp ball ).
Then just recently I saw some porn star in Philly. Whose name escapes me but whose picture and autograph are in my golf bag. SHe like many porns stars freaks me out !!
Neither one of these features would I have gone outta my way to see but both were fun in their way.
Saw pornstar Diana Devoe a few years ago, she put on a pretty good show. She was trying to sell some of her movies for $40 but the bootleg man was selling the same ones outside for $10
I saw Cally light her cookie on fire in Toronto :D
If a feature is defined simply defined as a dancer who is brought in from outside the club as opposed to house dancers who work exclusively at one club, then I guess I'm on the side that likes them for the most part. Most western Canadian clubs do not have house dancers and go through an agency that supplies the dancers. Dancers are rotated from club-to-club (aka the circuit) weekly. I have professed to enjoying stages so it's no surprise that I'd like these 'feature' shows.
On the other hand, when clubs have brought in feature acts such as a revue or pornstars, those have been nights I've stayed away.
