I'm almost 35 and I would SO wear that diamond Hello Kitty!! And I'm not even into Hello Kitty!!! But that is really cool!
The diamond I want the most I'll never get. I want the diamond ring my husband gave me for our 5th anniversary in a whole thing he had planned while we were on vacation in St Augustine.
A clepto fucking bitch stole it from me on set. I had forgotten to take it off before I left and put it in a zipped part inside my zipped closed purse inside my zipped closed suitcase with my wedding band. She got "sick" at one part of the shoot and went to the bathroom for awhile(my stuff was in a room right by the bathroom). After the shoot, when I got home and went to put my rings back on...my band was there(thank GOD) but my anniversary diamond ring was gone.
I've since heard that that wasnt the first time things have gone missing around this girl and she left the biz and went home to Ohio or wherever she's from right after that.
If I EVER see her again...she'll be lucky if she survives. Even if someone copied it exactly..it will never be the ring he handed to me the night of our anniversary.
otherwise....I like these:
I LOVE sapphires...and the combination of sapphires and diamonds is just breathtaking!

I have a SERIOUS thing for estate/antique jewelry. I LOVE knowing that a piece I wear has history. Plus I just like the older styles over modern styles.

These are more classical, but there are a few pieces that I find very original.
The three-piece diamond engagement ring is just breathtaking when you see it in person. I'm less impressed by the big rock, but some people just love it.

Necklaces
That emerald necklace is hot!
Bad pic I know, but here are my best friends! ;D
ETA : I just realized TOO posted a link to it. The last one of the first group w/gold band.
Neither do I. I don't particularly love the idea of converting cold, hard cash into something so small it can more easily be lost in a drain. No one has ever bought me a diamond. I don't fancy the notion of purchasing one myself due to the economic and human-rights issues involved in mining the bling.
For me, lab grown will be the way to go. I'm in no hurry though.

I adore this necklace: http://www.tiffany.com/Shopping/Item...+6-ri+-ni+0-t+
I almost bought it as a gift to myself for my birthday last year.
I'm a Tiffany's girt at heart.
Holy crap, how awesome is that?!^
This is my DREAM ring:
As gorgeous as it is, I'd rather stare at it online and keep the $8K in my bank account though.
ETA: Fuck that, there is a bigger 2 carat one for $11K. I'll admire that one instead :)
phillyvixen, I LOOOVE your ring. It's beautiful!
I always said if I wasn't married by the time I was 30 I'd buy myself a huge rock. Well, now I'm 35 and I just have so many other things I'd rather spend money on. So I'll just admire everyone else's pretty diamonds.
Ahhh I keep looking at those Tiffany rings and necklaces TOO posted.. Insanely beautiful. I love that last necklace.
I want one of those lab created diamonds. I wonder where the best place to buy them is.
I prefer tanzanite ....good, high-quality tanzanite. The deeper the color, the better. That's what I would like for an engagement ring .....should that day ever come!
I want:

Although I really would like something similar but tension-set. I love tension set rings.
Nope they look real. there was a store I went into when I was in Malibu 2 weeks ago that had them (the entire store was just that)
There are some obvious crappy ones out there but man made ones (lab based) have their upper crust too. IF you want a great ring that's going to last forever (like a diamond is supposed to) then expect to pay around 1-3 grand. But compare that to the 10 grand a lot of people pay for mined diamonds.
Oh wait, my mistake: It should have been this one. :)
or the more subtle look....
