IMPORTANT: Offering Your ADVANCED Hustling Techniques
Ok, I'll admit it. I can't take it anymore. Hustle Hut is an area of this site where us fellow dancers can share/ask questions for advanced money making tips. I've noticed though, in the past few months that some, ok alot of dancers are posting "tips" and honestly you have no business posting tips/techniques because you're still a newbie.
There are alot of members on this site who have been dancing 6+ years. If you wanna know about some hustling techniques, and what works/doesn't work wouldn't you much rather have more confidence in what a veteran dancer says. I mean she's been in her career alot longer, and she has had MUCH MORE time to see if something is a crash and burn.
Moral of my Rant: ALL DANCERS: If you haven't worked at LEAST 1yr and are ONE of your top earners..DO NOT post your 'hustle techniques' in HH.

Re: IMPORTANT: Offering Your ADVANCED Hustling Techniques
Not trying to be argumentative, but how do you know how long anyone on here has been dancing? I mean, unless they specifically say? Just because someone has 20 posts to their name, that just means they're new to this site, not necessarily that they're new to dancing and have nothing valuable to say. What are we basing this on?
And even if someone is relatively new to dancing, that doesn't mean they don't have a few good lines or ideas that even a "veteran" might not have thought of.

Oh honey, I'm definatley not going by post. I'm going by what they are posting. If you are posting in Newbie boards about how to walk, or shoe questions, etc. Or, you've outright said, "i'm nervous, I've never done this before" type thread..then yea you're a freaking newbie. Most SW members do mention how long they have been dancing (whether they mean to or not) at different points of being a member.

Have you ever been at work and a girl whose only been dancing a month wants to give you pointers on how to hustle...ummm yea this is the exact same thing. Like I said..hustle hut is ADVANCED hustling techniques. They are newbies..when you are new to something, you are called a novice.

Re: IMPORTANT: Offering Your ADVANCED Hustling Techniques
Yeah. ITA. This is what I said in that other thread, started by a girl who has only been dancing 3 days. It's so very frustrating, and worse still, there are A LOT of good threads in here being completely missed by those who need it because all those folks see when they do a search are these craptastic threads in HH instead of truly helpful ones. So... I fully 100% agree. Unless you earn a consistently good amount (and I don't mean consistently under 500), don't post your techniques, instead, learn from those who really do KNOW what they're talking about.
Or, post a thread ASKING a question, instead of TELLING us your technique. That's a much better way to fit in within this community and to get the results needed.
If you think we're being mean, this is precisely how it comes off:
"I know I've only been dancing for a few weeks/days/months, but I know more than all of you combined. So listen here to what I have to say." And that is very arrogant, insulting and fairly ignorant to boot!
I've sat by silent long enough and I'm getting frustrated now, so I'm starting to just speak my mind all over the place.
eta: I am proud to admit in my 7+ years dancing, I didn't hit my groove/hustle streak until 3.5 years into it. So, yeah.

ok, ok! :) Yes, I agree that's annoying. I was just curious as to how you were determining who should and shouldn't be posting.

3.5 years.... that gives me some hope. Any day now, any day now!

Re: IMPORTANT: Offering Your ADVANCED Hustling Techniques
LOL SS. definitely. I was a consistent hovering btwn 350-650 for a while type of girl. Then everything just clicked. I read a sales book, paid some attention to my techniques, and it just fell into place. Which drives my point home further... anything under a year and one can't know more than us old timers (hahaha). But they definitely shoudl add to threads, I don't think anyone wants folks to stop contributing — just to realize when they are way out of their league in telling people how to hustle. Shit, up until the day I stopped dancing I was learning more and more from SW's HH. The slight nod thing was somethign I started doing after I saw Bridgette doing it in person, because I realized what it communicated. And that was in year 7 of stripping!

Re: IMPORTANT: Offering Your ADVANCED Hustling Techniques
it is really frustrating finding expert advice on here sometimes!
I feel bad for the newbie girls that can't tell the difference between the good advice and the advice that comes from a know-it-all-newbie or a girl thats not a top earner but thinks she has worthwhile advice
lol and Like in the thread "My clubs top earners spilled their secret" You have girls that have never even tried a technique saying that it doesn't work or discouraging other girls from trying it.
I'd go as far to say as the only people who should be giving out advice should be the top earners (at least the top %10 in your club) - every one else should be asking questions, or trying out techniques and telling us how they worked... and asking why they didn't work if they didn't.
If you have a technique that you've had some success with but your still not a top earner you should be asking why you haven't reached the top yet... why this technique isn't catapulting you to the pinnacle of success (lol, sorry for all the poetics) cause seriously all these mid-level techniques are clogging the board with mediocrity.
Sorry for the rant.
I agree though that you definitely don't want people to stop contributing, but it's how they contribute depending on how much experience they have that makes the difference. I think we can all agree on that ;D

Re: IMPORTANT: Offering Your ADVANCED Hustling Techniques
The 1+ years top earners on this board are slowly dying.
It also seems you're either a top earner or you're scraping the bucket to afford petrol. What happened to the middle ground? I either see girls on here with bangin' dollars or girls on here who can't afford their rent. It makes me cry.

80/20. It's always been like that that, I think.

Re: IMPORTANT: Offering Your ADVANCED Hustling Techniques
Yeah but there's still people who are mediocre. That's the percentage for everything, taxes, income... but I never EVER see a stable general happy mediocre dancer. Like... never!! They're either 80% freaking POOR or 20% with BMWs and houses and diamonds types... like... none just 'yeah I pay my rent and save about a hundred a month... I have a savings and all my bills are paid but I still have a little debt on a credit card' types!!!
SOMEONE out there has to be a mediocre dancer.
We can't all either be shit or top earner.

Re: IMPORTANT: Offering Your ADVANCED Hustling Techniques
maybe the medium earners aren't talking since a lot of the talking is bitching or bragging
-
Re: IMPORTANT: Offering Your ADVANCED Hustling Techniques
Good point. And the bell curve thing is super funny.

Re: IMPORTANT: Offering Your ADVANCED Hustling Techniques
I hope this wasn't directed at me. I dont claim to have it all figured out, I just like to share what I learn along the way because HH can help other newbies, and shit, we all have something to offer.

No Brodie, this thread wasn't directed towards you. I was just trying to make it aware to all the girls of SW that basically HH is getting filled with "not tried and true" hustle results.
Learning along the way is a good thing. But, HH is an advanced level. What you're learning along the way, doesn't help a dancer like me who is averaging $400/shift and wants to increase that up to $500/shift. I need more consistant results.
Again, this thread is not directed towards you.
Before you (as in all of SW) decide to make a new "technique/hustle" post, think about this: If a new dancer all of 2 months in the business came and told you what her hustle technique was..would you actually listen to her and apply what she told you or be insulted that a newbie actually tried to offer you, a veteran dancer some advice on 'hustling' This is kinda along the lines of what Chrissy68 was saying earlier, and I totally agree.

it also needs to be adjusted for region & other things taken into consideration. for example, i am often a top earner at my club, but 'top earnings' is barely 500 unless you're doing mucho extras. so i keep my trap shut because it doesn't compare to what other 'top earners' are making who AREN'T in Los Angeles.
However- CK- thank you for posting this. I miss how helpful HH used to be.

.
i dont think that matters on location. if your a top earner your a top earner, it doesnt matter if its 500 or 1000 you know? as long as your a top earner in your area or club then i think its perfectly find to consider yourself as such.

Re: IMPORTANT: Offering Your ADVANCED Hustling Techniques
^ i agree with this. i was just saying in relation to the actual monetary amounts suggested above.

Re: IMPORTANT: Offering Your ADVANCED Hustling Techniques
I agree as well. You obviously do well for yourself with your shiny Ducati's. I even thought of you when I said 'high earner'.

Re: IMPORTANT: Offering Your ADVANCED Hustling Techniques
