Can you tell if a customer is from out-of-town?
Before approaching a customer, are you able to tell if they are from out of town based on their appearance, behaviour, demeanor, contrasts from locals, etc? I'm curious if anyone can tell, because I'd love to know how too! Or do you think there is no telling a customers locality?
Re: Can you tell if a customer is from out-of-town?
they usually comee in by themselves. usually in suits. they have different accents than the city or country land you reside or work in. i make a lot of those out of town business guys. i like them.

I usually ask when the last time was that they were @ the club...but I phrase it differently...asking when the last time they played there was or something similar.
Re: Can you tell if a customer is from out-of-town?
Definitely not, IMO. Best way to find out is to ask if they've been to your club before. But ours would come in alone as well, not in suits usually.

Not to make this racial, but if he's black and he tips me on stage/buys a dance 98% of the time he's from out of town. Dunno why, but local black dudes do not like me lol

^:rotfl: So true. That's how I can disassociate suburb guys from inner city philly guys. bahahha. Oh rose, I miss you.
Re: Can you tell if a customer is from out-of-town?
No, I can't. Although "out of town" is pretty much everyone. Austin is surrounded by tons of small cities that don't have clubs so they come to mine. I just ask.
I don't think my money is any better with OOT guys. I mean I've made money off construction guys contracted in austin who just got done, but I've been paid by local dell guys just the same. So...not really a factor for me.

The dead give away at my clubs is when they try and tip me in my garter or the sie of mt g-string, it's against the law here to do that, no contact on stage.

Thats a good point regarding bigger cities. The town I dance in is I guess medium size? Its not a big strip club type of town tho- more of a party town. Locals usually suck money-wise. I make most my good money off of OOT guys. Hence the Q :)
