I agree once again with Superflirt. I love it because its easy to get through and has fun pictures and stuff, not all words.
^ WANT I love reading or seeing movies about stripping!
I just bought a book called "How to Make People Like You in 90 Seconds."
I'll post after I've read it if it is useful.
I thought 7 Habits was horrendously dull. But then, I already thought that most of my problems were because of my own reactions and stuff; damned proactivity.
I thought Superflirt was a fun read. Hasn't really picked up my game, but it puts me in a better mood because I can think about something otehr than how much I want to duct tape some people's mouths shut for asking boring questions or saying idiotic things.

i love this book. it's simple/basic, but it's a classic. not only does it work for stripping, but every area of life. i <3 it.Quote:
* How to Win Friends and Influence People – It’s a great guide to the baisics… someone recently brought up an old thread on it and it made me remember how useful it is. However, if you need help being more assertive in your sales skills I don’t think this book will help you very much with that IMO. But, it’s still a great resource for the basics.
Has anybody read "strip for success"? I've heard its really good for basics and beginners?
This week I received my copy of Getting Past No: Negotiating With Difficult People by William Ury. I'm only two chapters and thirty pages into it but I'm totally hooked. So far he's talked about identifying tactics and tricks "opponents" may utilize to throw you off guard while negotiating. Just the first chapter is all about the importance of not reacting or escalating to a difficult situation. This is so helpful to me as escalating is a real problem of mine in a strip club, especially.
I know this book was recommended on other threads in HH but I can't seem to track it down. I'm probably going to finish the book in a week or two. I already recommend it, though. ;D
have just receved my book order in the post today - the art of seduction, how to sell anthing to anybody and superflirt. however the superflit thy sent me is the ocket superflirt edition - so is smalled and presumably less pages! but anyhooo, im off to gets a readin!
"The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity" by Catherine Ponder. She is a minister so talks about God and Prayer a lot as a source for generating abundance and prosperous thinking. I am not Christian so I just replace God with my own beliefs and have gotten amazing results using the lessons in this book. Not just financial, my in laws and I have hated each other for 7 years and no joke, the ideas in this book have started us communicating and working things out. Enjoy!
Nope - the book mentioned here is by Matt Ridley.
I'm in the middle of reading it. :)
The Path of Least Resistence by Robert Fritz
Change the way you think and do things, get more of what you want. No bullshit!

And yes I'm "Avalon" too. When I moved to AZ in 2002 "Britney" was taken, so I switched my stage name and everything along with it. However, when I joined SW in 2002 I was still "Britney" and the login name just stuck.
Creative Visualization
There are two versions of this book one by Shakti Gawain published in 1995 and one from the 80's by Melita Denning and Osbourne Phillips.
Exercises and some meditations (not my thing really) but the concepts are helpful.
The Mistress Manual: The Good Girls Guide to Female Dominance
This book is explicit so if you were ever curious about the airs of a Dominatrix this book is a good primer.
Be the Woman Men Adore
Relationship dynamics and how males react to females. A super helpful book in or out of the club.

If you havent read you cetainly should read The Complete Idiot's Guide to The law of attraction by Diane Ahlquist. Or the Secret by Rhonda Byrne. I purchase books before doing research what about the Art of Woo ? Has anyone read it? I am also a fan of How Make Anyone Like You by Leil Lowndes.
It's not a book that will really teach you sales skills or how to hustle but "Strip City" is a very good book, and since she does kind of do a "tour" you can get an idea of what clubs are like in other regions of the USA
