thaks for the article. they are over 6 months old but have rarely been worn. its the front of my ankles that hurt, they arent clicking or cracking, so maybe its just the muscle? i dont know all the running around in heels maybe im not used to walking so much in flat shoes lol

about the high..:) when i really started liking working out was when i had a really good girl friend to do it with.
we began with self magazines and really funny '70's workout outfits ala thrift store. we would toke up and follow a bunch of the routines from the mags. then, because we had a grip of dogs we started going on really intensive hikes in the mountains behind her house. sometimes on the yuppie jog trails(in the outfits) just to make ourselves laugh..
then we discovered Bikrams Yoga....
we were so skeptical, being the hardcore chicks that we were. but when we walked in and found a tall harsh Russian man and not a soothing hippie chanttress (sp?) we were intrigued to say the least. when he yelled at us for our obvious irreverence ,even more so. when we came back the next day he yelled at us and told us how much we needed his "klas". he acted all mad and told us we only had to pay .50/class. we went everyday.for two in a half months. somewhere in that room after about the first week it started to kick in, the high i mean.
we had a really fierce support of each others transformation. always got spots next to each other etc. it helped get over the initial pretense of not caring.
they say if you do something everyday for 21 days it becomes part of you and changes you. Bikrams really does. now i think all yoga does even the chanting but, it's been seven years.With Bikrams its really fast tho. Its got a price depending on how you view it,sometimes you can work out deals if you really like it. they are always looking for potential teachers.
Good on ya' for starting! keep it up. you will be so impressed by the changes.::)
marie windsors pilates are great too. you get to workout with all her friends; its really hilarious.;D and really works!!!

There is a chance your ankles are hurting from pilates, a BIG chance in fact. I have been doing pilates for two years now and when i first started I had weak ankles that tended to collapse inward; as I did more "foot work" on the reformer I learned to stabilize my ankles so that they worked together as a unit with my legs. The ankles will get stronger with proper instruction, make sure to see a pilates teacher for at least one or two lessons so that you understand what you are doing, pilates done properly can transform a body like nothing else, that being said there are plenty of people who are wasting their time because they do not understand pelvic positioning and working from their core.

^ i dont think she's using a machine. and mat pilates won't hurt your ankles.

You are doing awesome! I get my workout high when I run further last week I ran a whole 5 miles I was soooo stoked out by that and how I didn't stop or quit on myself!
I also like the Nike Shox those shoes are rockin and I think maybe I'm stupid but I think the springs on the bottoms make me run faster lol... Keep up the good work and trust me walking 2 miles is harder than running they say so keep it up and Pilates are awesome you should see results in a week or two just by your clothes fitting bagger..
Now be warn you will have those weeks were you feel like its not working or skin feels tight like your holding onto water just work thru it sweetie!!
I just lost 25 pounds myself and feel awesome so keep it up!
