Eating: Quick Advice Needed
Ok ladies - I need some quick advice.
I am working the lunch shift today, and Wednesday is our "Grand Buffet". I swore this off last week, but decided I need to conquer this. The club gets absolutely PACKED, wall-to-wall, between 11am-2pm. Everyone comes in for the buffet, every table is taken, tons of girls dancing.
So here is the problem. A lot of people are coming in, grabbing a plate, eating, and leaving. There has GOT to be a way to turn the type of guys who "just came to eat", into LD customers.
I am also unsure of what approach I should take when *everyone* has a big plate of food in front of them.
What would YOU do? What are some ways to work around the fact that they are about to eat/eating/just finished eating?
I have searched a little and found a few little quirky things to say, like, "Are you ready for dessert?", etc. But I'm looking for some better ideas to approach a table.
Thanks ladies! I know there is money to be made - the club is PACKED and NO girls approach on days like today. I need a good hustle for this...

Nothing to add, but I have the exact same problem at our club so I'd be interested in hearing a good answer. We have so many guys who stop in just to eat, they have like four plates of food, don't even see the stage, and then dip.
I think its because our club has free cover and free buffet so...
Re: Eating: Quick Advice Needed
This may not be the best advice but I deal with that sometimes, but more particularly guys who are glued to the TV screen. This is what I do and it sometimes works:
Me: How's your night going?
Him: Good.
Me: Are you enjoying X (the game, food, whatever) ?
Him: Yes, I am.
Me: But you like women too, right?
Him: Yes, I do.
Me: Let's go! And I point to the dance booth and get up.
Basically answer "yes" that they like women too, I just assume that means "yes" to a dance. It sounds a little weird but it's been helping me get the sports and food addicts to spend on me.

Wannadance them. "Ready for dessert?" is a good line, which is why you've found it. I've used it on guys that have eaten and it works great. They're on their lunch break, not off work, so no need for the long hustle.
Conversely, ask nighttime clients to come in at lunch to keep you busy.

Introduce yourself to as many men as possible, making sure you ask their name, and repeating it back to them. (Hi, I'm Paula, whats your name? Mike? Nice to meet you Mike...) then, before they can give you an excuse or say something like "oh I just stopped by for lunch", beat them to the punch and say, "so it looks like you stopped in for some lunch, right on!" mention something about how the food looks good, but you can't eat it because its too fattening, too many calories, you are trying to stay in shape, ect. The guy will usually say, "c'mon you look great!" or something along those lines. He has just paid you a compliment, which is a good time to drop the hustle. After all, he just aknowledged your hottness, right? "Oh thanks for noticing! I've been working out really hard! You must have a good eye for women, you should let me dance for you....when you're finished...while your here...before you eat...ect.
Re: Eating: Quick Advice Needed
When I worked lunches, I would always try and be one of the first five girls on stage. This would give me some leads and the first guys to eat would be just be finishing up and ready for their quickie before they had to get back to work. The trick i found on day shift is being able to switch between hustles. Starting with the quick pace for people on lunch breaks to more laid back one for after lunch crowd then picking it back up for happy hour.
Re: Eating: Quick Advice Needed
eh. i think clubs that have buffets do it more so the guys will choose that club when they are in the mood to get dances. just say hi without expectations. i like oksana's approach.

Guys with food are the worst. I can imagine when they are strapped for time like during their lunch break it'd be even more difficult to get a dance. I would try to get one right after they ordered so you have time before the food comes and if the food comes they usually will cut the dance short and you'll still get paid the full price. I just tell people they need to hurry up and get my dance because I don't want to have to compete with a steak for their attention.
I've never danced days so I'm not really giving you experienced advice, but that's how I'd try to approach it. Then I'd do the dessert line when people are finishing up.
Re: Eating: Quick Advice Needed
I used to work at a club that had a buffet for lunch too and it was bank! I used the "ready for desert" approach or "ready for some cookie" too.
Honestly, it's hard if they're coming for lunch and have a short amount of time before they have to go back to work. However, a lot are willing to tip you for your time or tip you on stage.
During the 11am-2pm buffet the club would cut our stage sets to one song (getting the girls through rotation faster) and guys would eat at the stage. At first I thought it was disgusting but actually guys would tip $5-$40 each when you danced in front of them while they ate! During those three hours you could make $300+ off stage alone. Our stage also seated 30 guys so that helped too. Focus on recruiting them to your stage if you can't get dances out of them to get them spending.
You can sit with them while they eat and get them to tip you for your time. They might be more in the mood for company rather than dances after a full meal.
Also, look at it as a way to cultivate regulars. They may not have time to get dances during their lunch but if you impress them enough they might come back after work to $pend on you ;)

:yikes: :yuck:
I'm glad you made it work for you though!
I don't have any advice for the OP, but I sympathize because I would feel very uncomfortable approaching guys eating. I don't approach guys who are eating our stupid appetizers, let alone large plates of food.
**Now thanking Jebus that we don't have a buffet**
Re: Eating: Quick Advice Needed
I appraoch the guys who are almost done. Do my usual hustle then tell them to gobble up that lunch so I can get started on them. Working buffet guys inst any easier then working drunk ones nfortunatly.....Now I have to go work the drunk crowd. I should of left by now but Im so hungry for some reason! At least I wont have to drink so much to get drunk tonight on this hungry stomach damn.

I work day shift in New York, It gets to be daunting. Most are with co-workers and sometimes I get mad because I'm like shit this is my job and you're watching me onstage for free...
I usually approach a group with other girls, and sit with them when they've just finished eating. Although I might only get a couple dances I've had guys come back after work and they've become some of my best customers. If there's a lot of people there, and you're smiling having fun, making people do shots and laughing they'll remember you when they come back.
Today seemed helpless for me, but my manager made me play Eye of the Tiger and I kept laughing onstage and got the hick-ups as soon as my set was over. Two people actually walked across the room and tipped me, and I got a half-hour VIP. With hick-ups. Thanks Rocky! Really, people will surprise you if you're willing to surprise yourself. Day shift can suck, but you might find some good guys from it!

Thats what I used when I worked in buffet style clubs. The "ready for your dessert" This is also a good time to use the "ok, when will you be ready for our lapdance" and they'll give you an actual amount of time for you to come back..
Alot of those girls would sit there and watch the guy finish his lunch..that was just to rude imo.
