Long skirt + pigtails is not working the way I'm picturing it, even stuff with frills and cute patterns. I can't see much from your avatar but I bet you could pull off a classy look very easily.
Can I ask which club you're at?
How do you know you won't do well in a gown/classy? Try it and see.
Plain skirt with a ruffle or country girl type top?let me carous the internet and see if I can get pics. :)

Hmm, that sucks. Perhaps it wasn't the right gown? I haven't seen a girl yet who didn't look sexy and classy in the right gown, wether she was a Betty-page type or a Pamela Anderson-type.
Chevelle's suggestion sounds like it might be an idea. At the very least, you'll be something different from the rest of the girls.
You'd make money wearing a trash bag; you're that hot. :)
But I understand your frustration.
ooh, what about a halter top and skirt in white cherry-print material? Cute, goes with pigtails...I could see that working for you. Or just a plain pink, sky-blue or lilac gown or 2-piece?
(If you can't find anything you like, then we can just bring fifths of vodka to work and go through the DNC sloshed and not even notice the dress code. :P )

lol, what? I was drunk when I met you! :P But that's prob not an option for the DNC, just because all my gowns need to be worn with 7" heels and there are no poles onstage. Martinis + high heels - pole for support = disaster.
A two-piece would probably work best, since it's closer to the skirt sets that work for you--just a little longer. Polka dots might be a little overwhelming on the whole long 2-piece...maybe a polka dot top and solid-color skirt?
 brilliant! All you need is a pin that says "McCain" with a red circle/slash through it, and you'll be set for the convention. :PQuote:
As for the trash bag, thank you! Something like this might work! }:D
I think you can wear pigtails and look cute but classy...

I think the 2 piece set sounds best - a simple, tight, crop top maybe with some fancy detail around the shoulders, and a form fitting skirt :)
Thanks hun, lol! NOw you got me cheezin for a Tim Gun bobblehead, rofl!
I LOVE that show, it is seriously the ONLY reality TV show I will ever watch!
Anyway, what about a top like this:

With a skirt like this:

Go all innocent country girl, and you can still get away with pig tails, lol!
Why do you think you can only make $$$$ in pigtails? I am sure you will look gorgeous in a gown with your hair down...
Maybe your pessimism towards the gown is what holds you back. Sounds like you are more confident in the bikini + pig-tails, therefore you make more $$$. Maybe you could somehow psych yourself up to have the same "I'm gonna make bank" attitude, even in a gown...?
i have the same problem with wearing gowns so this is what i'd buy

http://cgi.ebay.com/WHITE-Butterfly-...2em118Q2el1247
i have both of these and this is where i got them. i also wear knee highs with them both. I don't wear pigtails, but my image is more playful than upscale.
This is exactly my thought. I used to be really uncomfortable in gowns when I started at my current club, but I found a few that were comfortable to dance in, and I settled into the club a bit more, so I make money.
Maybe you ditch your cute personality when you're wearing a gown? I'd say go with the two-piece if you can. Pigtails don't make you cute, your ATTITUDE does.
How about a long version of this one with a front slit.

or a top like this with a long skirt.

Fun fabric patterns and colors can make a gown style more cutesy.
Like a long version of this one with a slit up each side, notice the fun fabric pattern.

Well, it still would be cuter with pigtails if it was a short skirt. But I think it will look great!
Good luck this week!
Brendita, I think that'll be perfect! I think the asymetrical skirt will make it feel and look less gown-ish, too... nice job!
You could probably rock a gingham print too... add a little white lace/eyelet trim and you'll have a cute Mary Ann look going on.
I'd go for a long skirt with a lot of material, the kind that would spin out to a full circle if you twirled around in it? That has the sort of 50's schoolgirl thing. Pigtails, to me, ask for something that fans out below the hip, to complement them.
I was thinking more of a cute rack a billy look.
Something like this in cut, but the fabric in white with the ruffle in white with cherries and some thing with cherries on the top. That with pig tails would be cute and it's still really bright, fun, flirty and girly.
