What medication are you trying to order? Have you tried drugstore.com?
I used to order from this site, they are SUPERCHEAP, and the quality wasn't bad, either. They also give you discounts when you order. Only thing is is that it can take up to 2-3 weeks to get your order since they ship them from India. I was pretty satisfied with them, though.
www.qualitygenerics.com
do you have to have a prescription prior?
The things I need are controlled substances. I need to take more then usual because of 1) my high tolerance and 2) my pancreatitis causes things to not get absorbed the way they should,so I only get a fraction of the meds I take.
My Dr is treating me like a junkie even though I've explained this many times. It is INFURIATING. I HATE that people take these things for fun....it makes it SO FUCKING DIFFICULT for those of us who actually have conditions that need them to get them.
so thats a no? im not judging you, id actually like to know for my own reference.
Yep. I went through that shit w/ my doctors when I was in the military. They thought I was just being a baby and didn't need the meds, so they cancelled my prescriptions completely. >:( I had to take care of myself, so I ordered online. With the site that I posted, I don't think you don't need a prescription. I think it's with US and Canadian pharmacies only that you need one to place an order.
I hope this doesn't turn into a debate. People should only order if they REALLY have had a health problem/disease diagnosed by an actual doctor.
Yup I keep going through shit like this because they think I want to "abuse" them I believe. I tell them I need it nothing else works if something else worked for my anxiety then I would'nt try to get them. Im tired of spending a bunch of money on stupid doctors just so they can give me someother shit that is only going to make it worse or something else. I was taking lexapro and it didn't help at all just made me gain weght :(
The site you posted doesnt have the meds I need though. The first one I posted does...and at a good price.NO prescription needed...but I dont know if they are trustworthy
There's another site that I used to order from that didn't require a prescription. They were cheap and FAST, too. I just typed it up and it stated that the site was for sale. I don't know anything about the site you posted, Cam.
Does Florida have shady pill mills (i.e. dr.'s that prescribe pain pills, muscle relaxers and anxiety meds)? They have about as many of them as gas stations around here.
Ugh..I shouldnt HAVE TO fucking resort to that. My Dr should damn well know that chronic pain condition + high tolerance + drugs dont absorb in me correctly = I go through a lot of them when I have a fucking attack. HE'S the one who told me to keep taking them until the pain receptors stop firing. It isnt right to treat someone with an actual physical condition they DIAGNOSED as an addict trying to score a high.
Fuck everyone who abuses prescription dugs...you have no idea the hell you put the rest of us through.
Word!
Just call the number on the website and ask them the questions you have. I've ordered from 2 different pharmacy sites online and didn't have any problems with them.
ETA- I don't care if I get flamed for saying all of this. I did what I had to do to take care myself since the doctors wouldn't.
http://www.drugbuyers.com and http://www.pharmacywatchers.com are decent forums which discuss online options of many types.
Any site claiming to prescribe morphine and methadone sends up red flags. This site isn't an actual online pharm, it is a scam to get you to pay money so they will give you a list of online foreign pharmacies.

Within 30 seconds you will have access to the best foreign pharmacies that have proven to be trustworthy plus additional valuable tips, tricks, forums, Special Reports, ongoing support and much more. We are not a pharmacy and we do not sell medications. What we do is provide you with the pharmacies' contact information, reviews, and exclusive discounts. You will receive your prescription medications from these pharmacies in original manufacturer boxes, in discreet packaging at savings of up to 85%.
yeah I knew it was to good to be true. Fuck. I cant get my meds,I have a painful surgery in a cpl weeks....I'm just fucking screwed.
A lot of addicts started out as pain patients similar to yourself. They started out with a legitimate need and had the misfortune of discovering that they couldn't take their meds like a normal person. There are some reputable studies that have been done that suggest that opiate addicts may actually have an endorphin deficiency that puts them at risk for addiction.
This article explains it very well:
http://psychcentral.com/news/2008/08...or-2/2745.html
If a person has this deficiency, their first taste of opiates is going to fill that hole, and then the downward spiral begins. They aren't so much using the drugs for "fun" as they are looking for something to make up for what they are missing. People might not realize that's what they are doing, but after talking to many addicts, and reading scientific research, I have come to the conclusion that many of us self-medicate in order to feel normal. It's not a simple issue, so please don't take your frustrations out on people who have their own disease to deal with.Quote:
This latest finding suggests that individuals suffering from a relative endorphine deficit in their reward system show increased reward dependence and are probably more at risk for developing addictions.
I'm only gonna take this on a minor thread jack because I'm going through a similar medication related retardo-doctor situation.
My Doc is a dick.... he is an arrogant know it all misogynist jerk. He put me on a 2 month supply of ambien for my insomnia. It worked great, I was sleeping 8 hours... not groggy in the morning, rested and energetic during the day. Then when I ran out he refused to prescribe me more. My insomnia got worse.. and after 3 visits of me telling him that I need some sort of medication to help with my insomnia (OTC drugs no longer work for me) the best he did was give me an EXPIRED sample pack of some muscle relaxer that creates drowsiness as a SIDE-EFFECT. Thanks but no thanks.
If there is a good online pharmacy that can give out these Rx-Only medicines I'd love to know about it... because I am at the mercy of some dumb fuck with a Medical School Degree.
I realize some people get caught up in addiction that they didnt look for...I'm talking about the girls at work that brag about getting high off oxys or shit like that...THAT is what makes it so hard for those of us with actual issues to be taken seriously.
I know this is a point of contention for you...but since it makes my life so much more difficult..not only the judging and problems getting the meds I need, but the living in bone crushing pain when things lapse like now. Yeah addiction sucks...but you know what....so does illness AND not being taken seriously.
I'm going to have it out with him over the surgery issue...we're going to have a serious sit down about why I need these meds and why he's going to do whatever I need. Done in person, i think he will likely see my point..he did before. I just have to get through the next 2-3 weeks of pain and insomnia before I get there.
^^^ I know where CK is coming from. Not being taken seriously by your physician is the WORST feeling. Being treated like you have ulterior motives is unimaginable... I'm sorry that you are going through this.
Is it possible to complain to some medical board about doctors who behave this way?
The thing is..its esp bad for me...I was basically called a hypochondriac all my life for the pain I was always in...then a Dr found out I had been born with a potentially fatal chronic pain condition. I thought my problems were over after that...but even knowing my medical history....I'm STILL not taken seriously.
I swear I just want to beat down every Dr I've ever seen. Let THEM live ONE FUCKING DAY ...forget 35 years...in chronic bone crushing pain every second and see how fast they change their way of thinking.
A good online pharm I have tried is http://www.unitedpharmacies.com
I got my package in about 5 days.
Might not have what you need, but try a search on the site just in case.
I don't have any better advice as I don't know much about the US healthcare system but I really hope you can get this sorted out.
*big hug*
thanks...nothing I take is on there...ugh..this is SO frustrating. I feel like I'm being called a hypochondriac AGAIN...I want to take my medical records and shove them up their ass. What part of THREE chronic pain conditions and insomnia since I was 12 do you not under-fucking-stand???
I've tried homeopathic...I've tried acupuncture,I've tried yoga,meditation...I exhausted every possible option before I finally consented to put chemicals into my body. And now I cant even get that.
I guarantee those girls at work doing oxy's for fun are buying them on the street. They aren't going to the doctor and getting scripts for oxycontin. If you want to get mad, get mad at the pain patients who divert their medication for money. But I still don't think that has anything to do with you not getting your medication.
I think you'd be better off going to a pain management clinic. I don't mean a pill quack, I mean a legitimate pain clinic that deals with all sorts of patients with different pain issues. I think you would have a lot more luck there than with your regular doctor. Most docs are afraid to prescribe too many narcotics because they live in fear of the DEA. Pain patients are woefully underprescribed because of the draconian drug laws in this country, not because of drug seeking addicts.
It would be far better for a doctor to prescribe to someone who says they are in pain, rather than be suspicious of everyone who walks through the door. So what if they happen to give a few pills to an addict? It would be worth it if it meant that no pain patient would be turned away. Unfortunately, most docs don't see it that way.
Here's a link to The National Pain Foundation. I couldn't remember where you live in FL, but you should be able to find something on here.
