Am I the only one filling up there cars because of the Huricane and possible raise to $5/gallon?
OMFG $5 a gallon!!!!!!!!!!! *dashes out to fill up cars* Crap and I'm soooooo going to have to drive at least an hour to my new club
nope we got our water and batteries stocked up a few days ago, too. we got hit when katrina came through 3 years ago, were out of power for over a week.
kind of looks like this one is going to hit us too.
and we are 3 hours from the coast, driving time, but it was still rough here inland.
Ohhhh shit...... I haven't yet, but I'm on my way to the gas station now---- eff $5 a gallon!!!!!
I wish I could, but I just put $25 in the Prius!
can't...most of our gas stations are out
its only $3.59 here
^Corgan must live a block from me. unless it's gone up in the past ten hours since I've been outside....hrm *goes to check*
That's not what happened during Katrina. The prices went up everywhere, but not significantly.
bah. everywhere is out of gas 'cept twenty miles out. eff that. guess I'll just have to conserve and hope they bring a tanker truck in to refill some of the stations.
I got very lucky the other day. Gas here was $3.41. I have a loyalty card which drops it 2 cents a gallon and had a fuel coupon from the supermarket which drops it another 10 cents, so as soon as I heard about this storm, I decided to take advantage of both and fill up for $3.29 a gallon. The next day it shot up to $3.59.
Yeah, regardless of where you live, I'd fill up your tank before Monday if it needs filling. If this thing hits the refinery area of the Gulf coast hard, gas will definitely shoot past $4. $5 is a bit on the extreme side.
Woo hoo, saw it for $3.29 yesterday and filled up :)
i filled up this morning with my 10 cents off a gallon @ kroger for $30. not bad. i bought the premium gas too, since i'm traveling alot today!
Hubby filled up my car yesterday :)
